www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10382291/Did-Hertfordshire-Police-force-break-uniform-code-transgender-trailblazer.html

One rule for women and another for transgender women.

Having long green nails and heavy makeup, breaches Hertfordshire Police Forces uniform policy, unless of course you're trans! Then you can do what you like to "feel like a woman".

@NoNotMeNoSiree

And again - really would never. Pretty Envy not envy that that's where people immediately think that's what I was referring to.
You are reluctant to acknowledge that this is actually an accurate interpretation of your posts.

Perhaps rather than doubling down, you could acknowledge that it was a very problematic ‘gotcha’ attempt

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:23

Hi NoNotMeNotSiree. You don't seem to be able to C+P the tweet.

So can I ask: Is this the Tweet you were talking about where you said:

'The first one I saw was someone looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation.'?

Why am I not surprised?
ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:23

Just 'yes' or 'no' would do, and hopefully clear up the confusion. Many thanks.

lovelyweathertoday · 09/01/2022 19:27

I'm quite taken by claiming there are photos of women also breaking the rules then refusing to show evidence when none of us can find it. It's a useless technique for those of us who want sensible discussion.

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:30

The saddest part lovelyweathertoday is that the poster refusing to provide the evidence they claim to have seen with their own eyes and is easy to find is labouring under the belief that we aren't fully aware as to why they won't show the evidence.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:31

No, yet again, that was NOT the tweet.
How many times?!

NecessaryScene · 09/01/2022 19:33

I'd heard about this thread, and didn't think it could live up to the hype.

How wrong I was.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:33

Okay. So was it this one?

Why am I not surprised?
BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 09/01/2022 19:33

@NoNotMeNoSiree

No, yet again, that was NOT the tweet. How many times?!
hey @NoNotMeNoSiree!

do you think red or green are neutral nail colours?

??

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:34

I mean, if you could link to the tweet it would save us all a lot of time, NoMe.

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:37

@NoNotMeNoSiree

No, yet again, that was NOT the tweet. How many times?!
You have an easy way to clarify this and that is to identify the tweet and picture you referred to.

Alternatively, we can all draw our own conclusions.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:42

For clarity: The first picture I linked to above is the first tweet on Herts Police's twitter showing a woman.

I am happy to work through the tweets until we get to the one that you were referring to, NoNotMeNoSiree. If that's helpful for you.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 09/01/2022 19:42

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Because someone making fun of a mixed-race woman for her skin colour is very memorable Yes, it is but only if it's a post you've seen in the first place! You'd be fibbing if you said that you saw every single comment on long threads. Some get missed
I always stay on FWR threads that I've posted on. I aim to read every single post that comes after mine. I think I would have to be ill with the flu to miss so many posts discussing a new development, especially when I had been tagged on that page.

But you seem to fail to see people addressing you with alarming frequency. BernardBlackMissesLangCleg has asked you the same question a few times now and you don't seem to be able to see her.

lovelyweathertoday · 09/01/2022 19:45

@VestofAbsurdity

The saddest part lovelyweathertoday is that the poster refusing to provide the evidence they claim to have seen with their own eyes and is easy to find is labouring under the belief that we aren't fully aware as to why they won't show the evidence.

I thought it was just a way of wasting our time.

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:46

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Ah, Ok. Well just a quick look at Hert police twitter account you don't have to scroll far at all see pics of other women officers being shown. The first one I saw was someone looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation. Is anyone commenting on her appearance (apart from me now obviously which feels a Hmm thing to do. Why aren't they? Can anyone think why that may be? Or is it just saved for what make up a trans woman is wearing?
Just to clarify in this post of yours @NoNotMeNoSiree you clearly state that the first picture of a woman officer you saw was someone looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation.

These are your words, the first picture of a woman officer on the Herts Police Twitter feed is the one Arabella posted, can you confirm that you are now denying that is the image you referenced in your post?

Sophoclesthefox · 09/01/2022 19:48

Dear me. What a pickle.

Dilemma. Admit the picture you referred to showed a woman who describes herself as of mixed heritage and expose the unfortunate racist assumption, or comb desperately through the entire Twitter feed to try to find another photo of a woman who might be flouting the make up rules, BUT that can also be described as “not hard to find”…Better just to stonewall the questions altogether, I’d imagine 😬

Quick, pretend it doesn’t exist, like bernard’s question!

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:49

Again, I said the first tweet I saw.
Not the first tweet of a woman officer.
How many times does it need saying?!

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:51

Sophlocles again, I did not refer to that tweet.
You'll believe whatever though whatever I say, so do you.

Sophoclesthefox · 09/01/2022 19:51

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Again, I said the first tweet I saw. Not the first tweet of a woman officer. How many times does it need saying?!
Post it, then.

Why won’t you?

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:51

So link to this first tweet you saw on the official Herts Police Twitter thread.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:53

Because

  1. you'll get people denying there's any make up on in the first place and you're mistaken or something
  2. because it's a shitty thing to do to link to someone's picture and start discussing how they look.
PurgatoryOfPotholes · 09/01/2022 19:53

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Again, I said the first tweet I saw. Not the first tweet of a woman officer. How many times does it need saying?!
How does that help?

I looked at the twitter account.

The one of the mixed heritage officer was literally the first tweet I saw too as well as the first one I saw showing a police officer. It was posted 10 hours ago, and is the most recent tweet posted.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 09/01/2022 19:55

Like you said, you don't have to scroll far.

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 19:57

@lovelyweathertoday

I'm quite taken by claiming there are photos of women also breaking the rules then refusing to show evidence when none of us can find it. It's a useless technique for those of us who want sensible discussion.
And… another poster declaring:

Spend two seconds on twitter, you can find countless pictures of non-trans women police officers wearing make-up and nail polish

Made outrageous statements about Mn FWR, as they perhaps do deliberately so to get their posts deleted. Their posts rarely stand. It is an excellent ploy if you wanted to make a prejudiced statement that you don’t really want to be left as evidence of your own prejudice.

It is mind numbingly obvious tactics once you see them.

Deny, deny, deny that you made an outrageous statement and then play distraction games to distract everyone from your offensive statement.

And still… not one post linking evidence of another female in that police force having the same ‘dispensation’ to break the dress code.

Not one.

And arabella has resorted to posting them now. Which, of course, shows that those posters declaring ‘the many’ are avoiding the fact that there are few, if any!

Plus the distractive disingenuous, why does it have to be the same police force??

Like, really?

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:57

Your twisting is not convincing anyone, why not just admit you fucked up @NoNotMeNoSiree? You may regain a smidge of credibility if you did.
