www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10382291/Did-Hertfordshire-Police-force-break-uniform-code-transgender-trailblazer.html

One rule for women and another for transgender women.

Having long green nails and heavy makeup, breaches Hertfordshire Police Forces uniform policy, unless of course you're trans! Then you can do what you like to "feel like a woman".

Obsequiousness to TRA overlords
Ok, I'll bite as I need to know now - WTF is a TRA overlord?!
Sounds like entering tin foil hat territory now and I'm asking as genuinely WTF is that but on the other hand thinking, you know what, do I really want to know as I don't think I do

NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 11:26

But no, it's all about concerns for what make up police officers do or don't wear.
That's be why there's '' laydee'' comments for example and now some kind of trans conspiracy and overlords?!
Ok.
Right.
Hmm

Helleofabore · 10/01/2022 11:27

And after too many years in the military I've seen and heard such filthy misogyny, it would make your vagina curl up and die. So it doesn't help when a female "colleague" pulls the simpering female act to get out of a task.

I get it. I really do. I have witnessed the violent abuse, I have heard the many many tales of it. I have seen the after effects of the rapes, the bullying, the being pushed down stairs when no one is around to witness, the tripping up of women with their packs on out of resentment. I have seen the effects on my female friends who got out of the military due to the constant fear 15 years ago, still trying to cope with the PTSD that never leaves them.

I also understand there are some women who will try to pull that trick of simpering, and maybe they will succeed in getting someone else to do their job. Maybe they won't.

However, having a lighter pack, and making some allowances for female bodies is necessary though.

that poster declares they are innocent and that others are misreading their remark. A very clearly offensive remark, which was doubled down on FFS, Again for those at the back, I was NOT referring to that tweet! Ever. At all.
But we don't know and you, the only person who couldclear it up, won't say because... that would be doing more of what you are already doing... or summink summink
Helleofabore · 10/01/2022 11:30

I have heard the many many tales of it.

When I say tales, I mean sitting and listening to the accounts from victims, and from witnesses. I am NOT implying 'tales' is in any way storytelling such as embellishing or anything such as that.

ONE. ONE poster. In 355 posts.

And sarcasm - the overlords comment - which you have, again missed!

Not you, indeed!

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 10/01/2022 11:31

As has been said, often. THAT is NOT the point.

But, again, NotYou will do as NotYou will do Smile

Methinks thou doth protest too much.

Everyone who has read/is reading or posting on the thread can read your own words and judge for themselves. People judge on the evidence supplied, you have supplied none to back up your denials, you have twisted and swerved and obfuscated, it doesn't require a genius to conclude why.

Whether you agree with the Dress Code for Police Officers or not is irrelevant, there is one, all officers, bar one it would seem, have to abide by it, your attempts to justify an exception for this one particular officer have been an education, but not the education I imagine you were hoping for.

You could clear up any confusion quite easily. But you won't. And there's a reason why you won't. We know it. You know it. 🤷
NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 12:36

And there's a reason why you won't. We know it
Yes, which I've already told you.
I'm not linking photos of people into an already shitty conversation for people about police officers make up and looks for even more of it to happen

NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 12:37

Twitter's there for everyone.

Lolz. Not true. Wink

And yet you yourself literally took the time to look through tweets and come back on here to reveal you saw a picture of a woman you thought was wearing loads of fake tan.

Thereby commenting on a woman's looks.

So you didn't have a problem with doing that. You did it yourself.

What you did have a problem with was then being adult enough to hold yourself accountable for a monumental fuck up when other people pointed out that the officer you mentioned is mixed race.

VestofAbsurdity · 10/01/2022 13:08

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Twitter's there for everyone.
As are your words and actions on this thread.
youvegottenminuteslynn · 10/01/2022 13:10

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Yes and because of your very clear description of how you came across the woman you mentioned, see below, we all know exactly which picture you were talking about. You know it's ok to make mistakes, right? That you could have just been an adult and said shit ok sorry that was a bad example / I shouldn't have been so flippant / I should have read the caption of the tweet or looked at the picture more closely before bringing it up etc. But you didn't. You doubled down and now are just bizarrely lying as there isn't another picture that you could have meant based on your description (again below) so maybe it's a maturity thing of not being able to say things and own them.

Well just a quick look at Hert police twitter account you don't have to scroll far at all see pics of other women officers being shown. The first one I saw was someone looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation.

You said the account.
You said it was the first female officer you saw.

Such a weird thing to then lie about!

NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 13:15

Lolz. Not true
Yeah but it is though.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 13:17

One of the first ones I saw!!!
Not the first one like people are making out.
How is that so hard to grasp?!

youvegottenminuteslynn · 10/01/2022 13:19

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Probably because you said the words "the first one I saw", I'd imagine, along with the fact there aren't others that would fit your description.
HoardingSamphireSaurus · 10/01/2022 13:22

And there you have it.

Even in response to a post with a direct quote you are still not owning your own words.

We can read, you know.

Helleofabore · 10/01/2022 13:26

I think that there is a deliberate disconnect also in 'judging someone's looks' vs 'judging the amount of make up and the neutrality of colour that the person has chosen to wear'.

siree has very painstakingly attempted to portray this as people 'judging someone's looks' when it is actually not the case in the vast majority.

Only someone intent on portraying a bad faith argument would continue to do that instead of discussing the actual issues raised, and repeatedly stated through out the thread.

"judging someone's looks" as an argument on this thread is a strawman that has been burned down and rebuilt too often.

And I asked up thread, how is that you landed below the first tweet in the timeline then?

Kind of hard to do if you are visiting a twitter profile.

CheeseMmmm · 10/01/2022 15:13

Judging makeup and looks.

Are not the same thing, which you seem to realise as you say and.

The judgement on makeup (with nails) is simply that they breach dress code, which for police is not exactly superflexible. Obviously.

This judgement was also made by loads of members of public, on Twitter and that info said also direct to force. Meaning they were actually genuinely pissed off if they bothered to do that.

It's not a handful of evil women who sit by s bubbling cauldron while posting.

TInkyWlnky · 10/01/2022 15:23

Nope.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 15:24

Hmm Grin

NoNotMeNoSiree · 10/01/2022 15:26

Still a yep it's true though. It wasn't referring to that tweet, but you're obviously determined to think otherwise, so do you.
