www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10382291/Did-Hertfordshire-Police-force-break-uniform-code-transgender-trailblazer.html

One rule for women and another for transgender women.

Having long green nails and heavy makeup, breaches Hertfordshire Police Forces uniform policy, unless of course you're trans! Then you can do what you like to "feel like a woman".

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Anyways. This is ridiculous. I've said why I'm not linking, and people are free to look themselves at Twitter, it's hardly some secret corner of the Internet. People say I'm ignoring questions but funny how no one's pulling up on the male rapists in prisons bit by another poster. On a completely unrelated thread about trans women police officers wearing make up.
Nah. This doesn't wash. We know the reason why you're not linking it. And so do you.
NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 21:30

am not going to admit I was really offensive.
Well no, because I'm not about to say I was referring to a tweet that I honestly was not!

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 21:31

It can not wash all you like.
It is why I'm not linking though.

TInkyWlnky · 09/01/2022 21:31

What one were you referring to then? Why so coy?
TInkyWlnky · 09/01/2022 21:32

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Because..racist.
NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 21:34

I've already said why I'm not.
On this very page in fact, and again a bit further back.
Because this conversation is shitty enough without dragging other people into it for their photos to be linked and commented on.

Fieldofgreycorn · 09/01/2022 21:34

Just critically examining the different points of view Helleofabore.

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 09/01/2022 21:35

oh hey @NoNotMeNoSiree

do you think red or green are neutral nail colours?

i'd really like to know

i know you're very literal, so I'm not really all ears, but I am a big, metaphorical ear, listening for your answer

CheeseMmmm · 09/01/2022 21:37

Just catching up and saw this transphobic comment.

'Spend two seconds on twitter, you can find countless pictures of non-trans women police officers wearing make-up and nail polish'.

How the hell do you know if they are transgender or not?

  1. Trans rights supporters are having to spend loads of time pointing out that most of the time, no one can tell that a transwoman is trans and not cis.
  1. Unless their trans status is included with the pics? Assuming gender is also a huge no no and transphobic.

I think sharing the links would be best. Or telling us the info you have, that explains how know they aren't TW?

I'll be happy to retract this post and apologise.

I felt I had to say something, as we all know both casual and intended transphobia are rife.

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 21:38

Well. without evidence and your very tenuous refusal to even note the date and time of the tweet you insist is a women ' looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation. '

in this post

' Ah, Ok.
Well just a quick look at Hert police twitter account you don't have to scroll far at all see pics of other women officers being shown.
The first one I saw was someone looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation.
Is anyone commenting on her appearance (apart from me now obviously which feels a hmm thing to do.
Why aren't they?
Can anyone think why that may be?
Or is it just saved for what make up a trans woman is wearing? '

People are not likely to believe you without this proof. you did not have to double down and did not have to engage in this 'I am not going to show you because...' game.

You can call for us to 'honestly' believe you, but you would absolutely demand another poster to provide proof of such a vile statement.

And join in demonising them with a 'yes! this' type of post with the first and probably only other poster that would post a comment similar to yours.

TInkyWlnky · 09/01/2022 21:40

I've already said why I'm not.

The lines are wide enough to read between dear.

I think you will find that the poster was deleted for such a post. And their usual negative generalisations at MN FWR.

They have not returned to the thread.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 21:43

I'm not linking to tweets to invite people to pull on people's looks

The only person "pulling ' on anyone's looks here is you, NoNot, with your unpleasant comment about fake tan.

The post is about adhering to dress codes.

Yes! This!

How can anyone know these other officers weren't trans?

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 21:44

The lines are wide enough to drive a coach and six very wide-bottomed horses through.
Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 21:45

Just critically examining the different points of view

Sure. As I said, let's go with your suggestion. How does that work then?

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 21:47

How can anyone know these other officers weren't trans?

Was it.... because they followed the dress code as they were expected to and have been forced to for the decades since they were able to even join the police force?

Or because another poster made assumptions because of their 'looks'?

CheeseMmmm · 09/01/2022 21:47

'
No, I'm not.
You can believe what you want which you're going to do anyway, but I was not referring to that tweet.
And I've already said why I'm not linking to tweets to invite people to pull on people's looks.'

You're the one who said I've seen a pic of a police officer woman (how do you know gender ID is it stated?) and described her as having... Can't remember exact wording... Something like too much/obvious fake tan. I think the word orange came into it, apols if not. The posts where you described her skin were not exactly nice were they.

Bit rich to say oooh you meanies will JUDGE her looks and I hate that.

FatFucker · 09/01/2022 21:51

Can we please all stop asking the PP to link to the tweet of the fake tanned officer. We all know why the PP can't link to it.

Can we move on and not discuss again on this thread, or it's going to be gone by the morning. I've had too many threads on this board zapped. I'm fucking pissed off with it.

Replying and tagging the PP is exactly what they want. They get the thread zapped and the evidence of their racism has gone.

Please let's go back to the original article.

OP posts:
NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 21:54

I'm not trying to get the thread zapped, and I wasn't referring to that tweet!!
I never would have.
I'm not about to say I was and did when I didn't!

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 21:56

If people didn't keep saying I was after I've already said it wasn't, I wouldn't have to keep repeating myself, would I.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 22:00

The post is about adhering to dress codes

The '' laydee'' comment and the one about rapists in prisons shows it's not really just about that for some, is it?

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 22:03

More distraction from you no siree

But as OP has asked, on with the thread.

Thank you to the pp also who found the pics with scarlet nail polish.

CheeseMmmm · 09/01/2022 22:04

Erm you were the one who dragged another person into the thread and commented unpleasantly on their appearance.

I won't get an answer but why are you keeping at this? I always wonder on any subject when this happens.

Is it one of these?

  1. I know that the dress code stuff is a cover for transphobia and I'm not interested in said by transphobes because even if they are being honest they're horrible anyway.
  1. I am so biased that I'm not even thinking about anything said, I'm just skimming for anything anyone says that I can jump on and go on about, hopefully to distract, divert the thread. If lucky something that anyone reading with same bias as me will take, as I have, as evidence that MN entire site transphobic shitshow.
  1. Unable to think of any decent responses to comments at all.
  1. Not fighting for right for everyone (who identifies as a woman) to look how they fancy in any situation including work is SEXIST.
Feminists have fought continually against social constraints and judgements on how women/girls look. PROOF they don't give a shit about women/girls at all, just use that as cover to express transphobia.

5....?

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 22:13
