Just that really. That's my understanding. No matter how you dress or what surgery you have?

And you can legally say this too?

You know, sometimes I hope they really do invest a ton of money into making male pregnancy work.

It's much cheaper to spend money campaigning for men to have the right to buy motherless children though.

RepentMotherfucker · 04/01/2022 19:22

@VestofAbsurdity

Also, aren't women's pelvises specifically 'designed' to allow a foetus to grow, and allow all the other organs to continue to function as well? Isn't there a big risk that a foetuses development, or the function of other organs, would be significantly impaired in a male body?

Yep, and women's organs helpfully move to allow the foetus to grow, how are they going to ensure that men's do? Plus the fact that men's organs are bigger and therefore take up more space are they going to swop those organs for the smaller female versions?

Jeez I've never read such an unmitigated load of tripe as that that is being posted by Empress.

I don't think male organs will budge up at all. I think they'll be all, 'it's not a bloody illness you know' and 'Jesus, other wombs do this without whinging all the time' and 'I'm going out for a seventy mile bike ride in the Surrey Hills. My fitness needs to be a priority because otherwise I'll get cardiovascular disease and then who'll pay for your caesarean section huh?' And the womb will be all, 'AIBU to want a teeny bit of space to grow this baby?'

the need for further animal and cadaveric model research,

Oh, god. Haven't we been down this road before on a thread a while back, and it led to some really fucking grim experiments I wish I hadn't just remembered ... Sad

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 04/01/2022 19:22

What are these reasonable people doing to educate those less well informed?

I didn't know about the sex difference in haemoglobin levels

Isn't there a density test they do when you donate blood, which to be interpreted correctly needs sex, not (as afaik they ask for) self id'd 'gender'?

ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 19:25

Yes, Errol, there are different required levels for blood donation.

www.blood.co.uk/the-donation-process/further-information/haemoglobin-and-iron/

'To ensure your safety we need your Hb to be at least 125g/l for women and 135g/l for men prior to donation.'

Yes. Stark animal cruelty.
PurgatoryOfPotholes · 04/01/2022 19:27

Oh, and look at Pink News

If born male you biologically stay male until you die? Yes?
ErrolTheDragon · 04/01/2022 19:29

@PurgatoryOfPotholes

Oh, and look at Pink News
Huh? Confused
PurgatoryOfPotholes · 04/01/2022 19:32

You know, just pondering out loud why I'm told that it's just a few unusual people on twitter who think transwomen have cervices, and yet I seem to find such opinions expressed by rather mainstream activists.

Odd. Maybe Natalie Wynn could explain it all to Pink News?

ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 19:34

'disgustingly transphobic lie that only females get cervical cancer'

there do seem to be rather a LOT of these strawpeople about, don't there?

Cuck00soup · 04/01/2022 19:35

A uterus is something of a motte given it has super strong walls.

It also has a Bailey surrounding it with blood vessels, hormones and a whole village of support structures.

ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 19:36

Thank you, Dr Winston.

Delphinium20 · 04/01/2022 19:36

Interesting choice of photo.

Humans do have a cervical esophagus that can become cancerous. You may not realize this but both men and women have throats. Perhaps the photo should be of a human neck?Xmas Grin

VestofAbsurdity · 04/01/2022 19:37

Yes. Stark animal cruelty.

No surprise, after all they are advocating using women's body parts and experimenting on a baby ffs, there are no depths to which they won't sink.

As a pp said earlier I thought Josef Mengele was dead.

ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 19:39
  • sorry, that film is a clip of Robert Winston explaining that you can't change sex, followed by an interview with Shon Faye.

I was pointing out Pink News photo of human legs...
ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 19:42

Yes, cross posting abounds! Leapfrogging, even.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 04/01/2022 19:45

Im getting confused

So someone has been all over the thread about transwomen changing sex and posters have spent ages saying no…

And then someone else came on saying that we were all wrong to say that transwomen actually changing sex…

Even though it wasnt us that said that in the first place

Is that right? Cos honestly it makes mo sense at all to me so i feel like ive missed something

Delphinium20 · 04/01/2022 19:45

The Winston quote is excellent.

Gumbomambo · 04/01/2022 19:47

Anyone who disagrees is a “GC Feminist”. Even the ones who are blatantly not a feminist of any kind. Did they do brain transplants yet?

Someone came on to tell us that we're within reach of transwomen having uterine implants to successfully give birth.

Someone else came by to accuse us (women) of making a strawman person and that no trans rights supporters really thought you could change sex.

The other poster posted a bit more about ... silicon animal to human head transplants, or something, I'm not sure. Confused

I am still happy to post leopard slugs mating if anyone is up for it, just say the word. Smile

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 04/01/2022 20:16

I do not want to see slugs mating

That’s pretty much all I’m sure of at the moment

ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 20:18

Okay. I will keep them here in case anyone else wants to see the graceful, balletic and complicated courtship dance of the leopard slugs.
