I am so fed up of "ooh the debate has become so toxic" said by anyone who wants to sit on the fence and pretend that it's just some kind of cat fight between two equally unreasonable sides.

Of course women are going to get angry when men are saying they can BE them and have everything that's set aside for them. And yet the TRA side is by far the more aggressive, threatening, mendacious and illegal in its behaviour while the feminist side's "toxicity" mainly amounts to stating facts.

If I say I identify as you and therefore genuinely am the same as you and should be able to come in your house at will and help myself to your stuff, and so should anyone at all who simply says they're you, you're going to object and be upset and angry I think.

'toxic' is a dog whistle for 'please don't fact shame me'.

I don't disagree that insults, threats and abuse flung at women who won't conform and submit to the gender ideology is unacceptable and one could call it 'toxic'. But the feminists and women and allies arguing for the rights of women is straightforward and rational, there's nothing 'toxic' about it unless you are outraged at someone politely disagreeing with you.

There have been times I haven’t been sure I agree with all of what Kellie says… but the more I listen to her, the more I forget what it was I didn’t agree with.

If you’re reading, Kellie, thank you for being totally steadfast and unapologetic. It really is inspiring.

Just watched the one with Debbie Hayton. Debbie wiped the floor with him too. Clearly James doesn't think Debbie is an expert either though, as Debbie isn't saying the right things. I guess James will keep going until he finds 'the right sort of trans' to back up his toxic stupidity.

I'm so sorry to digress but Twitter says the word "appalling" is trending in the United Kingdom. And when you click on it there is no particular context or quote that is the origin. It seems like there's so much appalling stuff happening that the word has spontaneously started trending.

On topic, KJK is so good. I love how she's so clear and direct, isn't allowing him to refocus the conversation and simply isn't entertaining any of the bollocks. And men are so scared of women who don't indulge their nonsense! I'd love to be more like her, but I know I'm not thick skinned enough to handle even a tiny bit of the flak she gets. I shall have to settle for finding her inspiring.

KJK and Debbie aren't that far apart in terms of sex is important and transwomen are male, both said as much in their interviews with james, but look how different his response is to each.

I loved every second of this. I adore Kellie. When I was raped I reached out to Standing for Women and she was emailing me for a while. When I met her in person she held me (both crying) and she said something that I will never forget. She said, “women like you are always on my mind. If you weren’t, why would I fucking bother?” Then all 4 foot 11 of her strutted off like she owned the place 🤣. Same vibe on the interview. Utter strength and dignity from her. He came across like a tired child arguing about being told it’s bedtime.

Having listened to today's programme:
Debbi Hayton was excellent - no nonsense and clear - and it was interesting how James was completely out of his depth, failing to probe any further. Well done Ulrike - and again James had no arguments and showed a total lack of empathy / insight (unsurprisingly) into Ulrike's passionate and exasperated account of how it is gaslighting women to tell us that men are now women if they say they are. A less self important man might have been able to explore that further, rather than his ageist response -everyone under the age of 35 believes this .

His wounded ego at having been completely outclassed by Kellie Jay was repeatedly on display with numerous comments about how awful her comments were. No evidence, just a drip drip of how terrible she was. His repeated trope about how toxic the debate is and that's why everyone is frightened to speak completely missed the point that the fear of speaking out is a result the threats and violence that are directed by this sexist and homophobic movement against anyone who dares challenge their ideology.

For some reason his lack of understanding and antipathy towards women reminded me a bit of the fox killer.

This happened before to KJ with James O'brien as well didn't it? These men think they can speak to women like utter shit. Fuck them.

The other hilarious thing about that interview was how visibly incredulous he was that she was so steadfast and confident in her views and that at no point did her 'lady doubt' kick in, even when he said he thought she should be cancelled.

It's really quite something when you see it in real time in the wild like that - he literally couldn't believe that a woman would behave in that way! 😂
