UPDATE: the police just rocked up at my door. They looked scared, weirdly. Slightly breathless scared.

The officer apologised to me, then read me my rights.

Then he told me that he was going to report "this matter" to the Prosecution service.

'pointing out you've done a libel against a billionaire' = abusive messages

Who knew?

WinterTrees · 04/04/2022 16:54

I wonder if taking down his entire Twitter account is his toddleresque reaction to legal advice to delete the offending massively libellous tweet?

tabbycatstripy · 04/04/2022 17:02

Are the abusive messages in the room right now?

PronounssheRa · 04/04/2022 17:16

As predicted. Paisley claims he was sent a lot of abusive messages over the weekend and is taking a twitter break.

Again? Needing to delete one’s Twitter account once may be regarded as misfortune, to need to delete one’s Twitter account twice looks like carelessness….. Said Oscar Wilde, sort of……

Presumably, he sees it as a way of taking down his tweet without losing face for taking only that tweet down.

You would think someone crowing about how his 'honestly held opinion' was a perfectly legitimate way to sling abuse at people would be more accepting of others' 'honestly held opinions'. The wee bawbag.

@CarbonelCat

That's a bit weird, isn't it? Is it to do with who you follow?
There are a number of app's (one which was apparently created by a TRA with links to CSA conviction) which will block you and anyone you follow.

Block lists can also be publish and shared eg TRA Y would publish their list TRA Z could copy that so your profile is blocked.

A beardybloke was blocking anyone who liked a tweet I wrote that article 🔥 but I am sure there is a blocking app for that🤷🏼‍♀️
