UPDATE: the police just rocked up at my door. They looked scared, weirdly. Slightly breathless scared.

The officer apologised to me, then read me my rights.

Then he told me that he was going to report "this matter" to the Prosecution service.

I hope she sues him. It’s an opinion, sure, but it has no reasonable basis in facts, such that an honest person would share it.

Nothing JK Rowling has ever said about ‘trans kids’ could reasonably lead to the opinion that she is dangerous.

Oh my word. Might be worth watching, see how/if JKR responds to that one...

Last time someone accused JK of that she was down on them like a tonne of bricks. Iirc lawyers were involved.

The Gender GP account has quote tweeted it, saying “There are many people in the UK who hold positions of power that are an immediate danger to trans youth.”

Let’s start with Dr Michael Webberley. THAT is an honest opinion supported by facts.

Come on JK - sue the fecker. He'll go to pieces so fast bystanders will be hit by the shrapnel.

Can we just point out that the tweet he is referring to, is a video of Dr David Bell, saying that children with gender dysphoria need careful exploration not automatic affirmation.

And for sharing that, he says JKR is a danger to children.

Oh @tabbycatstripy that's awful given the horror stories coming out of the Webberley malpractice tribunal. The 9 year old girl case made me cry.

It's very telling, that they target women with powerful words about child safeguarding, like JKR and Ceri

Yes, it’s a fight for the moral high ground because that’s where the power lies. Dr Bell has credibility, Cass has credibility, and people behind Gender GP (and their winged monkeys) need to try to remove it. Calling JKR a ‘danger’ who wants to ‘convert trans kids’ is just their latest salvo.

Aye, he'll go from man to melt in minutes once the lawyers have a wee word.

OTOH I would love to see him actually being sued for defamation.

I do think JKR may sue at some point.

I think if she does, she will do it to make a broader point, and the action will be well-chosen and immediately understandable to the general public - and that it will be to demonstrate where decent boundaries lie in UK law in order to protect other women.

I hope JKR sues him, and also that she includes all those who retweeted such blatant lies.

Harrop did something similar a couple of years ago, tweet was deleted and replaced with something of an apology. I expect paisley will delete but moan about being victimised and how he now has to flee to timbuktu for his own safety or some such drivel.
