Placemarking but also  to @Motorina for all the effort you are putting in as it is so very helpful. Also to @WitnessE, I hope it gives you some small comfort to read how many of us are behind you, and that so many women are feeling so much frustration and anger at what has happened.

Knowing there is a huge amount of women who are so very frustrated and angry on your behalf and we all standing behind you, is perhaps more "comforting" (wrong word sorry) than the flowers?

GMC invites to assess the tweets as a collective and individually. GMC identifies three tweets that make reference to medical elements, e.g. ‘morning meds’. GMC invites panel to recognise that these tweets would call the medical profession into disrepute.

The GMC invites panel to consider tweets talking about Golf to wind up someone on the opposing side of the debate is not inline with GMC guidance. AH, GMC submit added fuel to the fire. This caused B and his wife to leave their home for a period of time.

FFS I am obviously completely unable to form coherent sentences this morning!

Is that their summary of what was found proven, then? And then we get a summary from the defence?

Tweets relating to D. August 2019, makes reference to health of person. Any such comments in a public forum are highly inappropriate for a medical professional. Public could believe this to be true because a doctor is saying this. This falls far short of standards expected.

No it's the GMC stating their case to the Panel

GMC submit, in relation to E that the tribunal take into account misconduct. Heated discussion between RD and GP in relation to collective and individual tweets.

It's a formalised process where the decisions happen in set stages.

So stage one is what facts are found proved. We've had that.

The first part of stage two is "Do these things which have been found proved amount to misconduct". Misconduct is a serious departure from professional standards.

So the GMC is saying, "You found proved that he did these things. We submitt that these failings are a serious departure from professional standards (i.e. are misconduct) because of these reasons". Part of their reasoning is "There are written standards on conduct on social media, which these tweets breached."

The second part of stage two is impairment. The GMC will give their submissions on why they consider Harrop's fitness to practice is currently impaired by that misconduct. I anticipate they will rely on his late insight, his limited insight, the vice article and the luke-warm support of his mentor. Plus the broader public interest/public perception.

The defence will then give their submissions on misconduct and impairment. I anticipate they will agree there was misconduct. I wait with baited breathe for their position on impairment.

'GMC submit that AH was warned about his conduct, and specially provided with GMC social media guidance. For AH to continue to post, that would significantly undermine public confidence, if he were to return to practice.'
