The police are involved and all three have locked their accounts.

I hope their agents will take note.

@QueenSue

I'm also confused by the "don't be a cissy" sign. What did they think would happen? Did they think Rowling would see them and instead of calling the police, would think yes I need to change my feminist views and stop being a cissy, whatever that means?
My thinking was this was a new slur against what they call "cis" people!
SpindlesWhorl · 22/11/2021 17:54

I think that @SpindlesWhorl* was arguing that this posting didn't matter as her address was already in the public domain.*

No I wasn't! Fgs, I have been doing the opposite - and I was giving the email address and the postal address that JKR prefers for fan mail and cards/messages from well wishers, as advertised on JKR's own official website. It allows you to communicate with her office.

The poster who was the knobber has been deleted, quite rightly. In fact I reported it (probably one of many people who did) myself.

Sigh.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/11/2021 17:54

I'm actually encouraged by some twitter comments by anime-avatared folx who state quite clearly that they abhor JKR and all she stands for, yet still condemn the Gruesome Threesome for doxxing.

Also, I can't see any mention that any of the trio is Scottish. Did they travel to JKR's home specifically to stage this stunt?

RedDogsBeg · 22/11/2021 17:56

@Clymene

The DARVO that's happening on Twitter is quite something.
No surprise there, don't like it when they too are judged by the standards they apply to others.
Slythermum · 22/11/2021 17:57

What they don't realise is that regardless of stupid Twitter, most people agree with her. MOST people.
With every unhinged action they display out in the open, it becomes more visible to everyone what is going on.
We need to Write to Women's Hour about this.

No, they seem to have been there due to being in a stage show that has been recently showing there. Not going to name check it.

The one from Crewe apparently lives in 'Chelsea and Paris', according the Stoke newspaper interview linked upthread, so I'd assume they probably travelled up to Scotland?

If it's any consolation @SpindlesWhorl that has been evident to anyone reading mindfully for several pages! Flowers

Obvious all along, spindles!

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/11/2021 18:02

Thanks AssassinatedBeauty

SpindlesWhorl · 22/11/2021 18:03

@AssassinatedBeauty, so it was more of an opportunistic thing? Still took some planning though. But what a very reckless action to organise.

Thanks, @RepentMotherfucker!

Poor woman. I just hope and pray this shit will soon be over and some kind of deprogramming of the younger generations started. God knows how.

Beckert · 22/11/2021 18:09

but I'd love to see a campaign for her to become a Baroness.
She is so utterly classy, clever and compassionate. A hero in a sea of fools.

Jk would be brilliant as a baroness.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 22/11/2021 18:10

Are there consequences for these four TRAs with a show in Edinburgh at a venue which will be needing to put bums on seats as all Arts venues have been horribly hit by the lockdown?

Because, I have some links with the Arts and because I have said that TWANW then I have been banned from various performances because my "views are abhorrent"

So, you know, their views are not only abhorrent but criminal.

So why have they got a job?

itsallgoingpearshaped · 22/11/2021 18:10

I know exactly where she lives and pass her house frequently when we're visiting family. I would NEVER publish her address, FFS.

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/11/2021 18:11

I'm going to send a card too.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 22/11/2021 18:12

Mollyollydolly I'll third you and Beckert and raise you - if she's not invited to be a Peer then this country is even more fucked than I thought it was.

We need people like her to influence within the system as well as in her own global sphere

I thankfully don't have any insight into their planning process! From what I can tell, the show was booked to tour Edinburgh from a while ago, so they would have had time to formulate the idea. Or it could have been a spur of the moment thing once they were there. The most "well known" of the three seems to be fairly relentless self promoter, so I wouldn't be surprised if this seemed like an easy way to get Twitter attention.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 22/11/2021 18:14

Fucking hell.

Anyone can nominate anyone to be a Peer! I had no idea! You can nominate yourself...

...would it be pretty cool if JKR was nominated by a bunch of anonymous vipers?

Will we do it?

Beckert · 22/11/2021 18:16

Will we do it?

Yes yes yes

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 22/11/2021 18:17

My thinking was this was a new slur against what they call "cis" people

The thing about reclaiming a term is that it's not supposed to be used as a slur against others. And, tbh, a slur that was used about non-stereotyped or gay men is not up for reclaiming by TRAs who deny same sex attraction.

I don't care if this is a bold neologism or portmanteau word, we're not supposed to be coining slurs for each other especially not when some people are continually lecturing others about #Empathy and #BeKind.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 22/11/2021 18:18

Right, I'll start a separate thread with the details.

If nothing else, we get to write down en masse about why we think she is worth defending and championing.
