Not sure of my purpose in posting - just my head is spinning!

I'm feeling really upset, angry and horrified. I've only recently been following the cases of Angela Bailey, Kathleen Stock, Keira Bell etc (i've came to the debate late). I feel like scales have slipped from my eyes and the antics of SW have shocked me profoundly. I've been reading about the harm and risks involved in medical transitioning and how there seems to be a psychic contagion (amongst vulnerable girls with various complex issues) to transition and that terrible harm is being done. I've learnt that Stonewall have redefined the concept of homosexuality to same gender rather than same sex attraction. I feel like i've fallen down a mad rabbit-hole. I cant get my head around it.

Apparently the truth hurts some special people's feelings, and that's more important than women's safety. Or something.

They also dislike the use of a word starting with p and rhyming with beak in this context.

Yeah that one too, there's loads. Maybe we should make a coded list of all things we're not allowed to (think) say. Like a crossword puzzle.

Here's another one - a three letter acronym, with the first, seventh and sixteenth letter of the alphabet. Apparently not talking about it means it doesn't really exist, and is therefore not offensive to women - even though several men have admitted it.

Thanks for all the messages. I'm just educating myself quietly in the background now that the scales are off. Reading Trans as recommended and have had a few "ah ha" moments. I hadn't considered the link between the need for external validation and narcissitic rage when that is not forthcoming (queried, denied, questioned etc). Also watched the ROGD webinar on Genspect which I found both very informative and disturbing. Starting to feel better equipped in my mind on how to pushback and challenge. Still struggling with SW and what they have done to re-label sexual orientations to gender orientations. Unbelieveable really - pushed gay people, especially lesbians, right under the bus. I will keep learning
