When it all comes crashing down and his name is mud he is going to find his friends have drifted away methinks. I don't think his dopamine hit was from the actual bullying of the women but the cheering on of those who weren't dim enough to risk their career.

Motorina · 18/11/2021 21:35

To hopefully add some reassurance, the tribunal tweets page identifies the two doctors on the panel as Mufti and Sen.

There's a brief biography of each at www.mpts-uk.org/hearings-and-decisions/who-makes-the-decisions

I know nothing at all about them personally, but their biographies show they are both very experienced panellists who also have had long-standing careers as doctors as well as significant other committee experience.

These are not beginners. These are not lightweights. Do not expect them to be easily fooled.

YNK · 18/11/2021 21:54

Hes reframing his behaviour under the AS spectrum with referencing dopamine and adrenalin etc.
The appropriation of the autistic spectrum under the trans umbrella is completely embedded in this psycho!
He's unable to accept any responsibility and (I think) he genuinely believes he is a victims of his 'neurodiversity's' and the rest of us should show some understanding, because we are phobic about it and as a doctor he should demand it.

In case anyone thinks I'm being 'ablist' or phobic, I have a diagnosed brain injury in the region believed to be responsible for autism, the pre-frontal sub cortex so I'm acutely aware of the resultant difficulties for me and those around me.
However, I don't think this gambit will play out well for AH at the MPTS, even if he requests inpatient treatment.
Courts (rightly or wrongly) don't generally grant leniency for brain injury or MH disorders.

Cuck00soup · 18/11/2021 21:57

Have spent all evening catching up on events since mid morning yesterday. Jaw dropping. Proper "you can't handle the truth" crazy from a bully.

Very appreciative of all the tweeters efforts and the informed commentary here.

Brideshead64 · 18/11/2021 21:58

Thing is he’s desperate for publicity; he wants to be in the spotlight. I remember reading this in 2018:

www.pulsetoday.co.uk/news/urgent-care/i-was-told-not-to-speak-out-about-the-problems-in-ae/

I suspect he’ll get off, but he’ll need to watch himself every minute of every day henceforth. Won’t be much fun looking over his shoulder for the rest of his career.

YNK · 18/11/2021 22:00

The speed with which the 'community' is appropriating neurodiversities will only be outmatched by the speed of psychos like AH opening clinics to treat it!

Thank you for this.

I've had a look and as you say these are very experienced professionals with extensive experience.

I cannot postulate on what their response might be to what they have heard, but there's absolutely no doubting their credentials.

We see it begin right here:

"But, because I knew that everything I had done was the right thing to do, I sort of took that on the chin. In any case, I was told: ‘Do not speak to the media again’."

What does he do next.....

Speak to Pulse magazine.

He's had years and years believing he can do what he likes with no consequences.

That article is definitely an insight into the mind of the man.

Brideshead64 · 18/11/2021 22:22

Yes! Why did I remember it?

@tribunaltweets

AH: the evidence speaks for itself and it shows it simply not the case. If there was any imbalance, it's weighted in the other direction.
(Goes on to say it wasn't him being heavy handed, it was other direction. Says him cyberbullying is absurd.

RD: want to focus on insight as you've spoken a number of times.
AH says he needs to take a moment to check his blood sugar.
Adjourned for ten minutes

Is he actually diabetic? Or just a jump-on-the-bandwagon-picky-eater?
Redshoeblueshoe · 18/11/2021 22:25

I'm sure I read elsewhere that he's diabetic

BreadInCaptivity · 18/11/2021 22:27

@Brideshead64

Yes! Why did I remember it?

Probably for the same reasons I remembered the TV interview the article referred to.

There was just something "off" about it.

In hindsight I can probably fathom what that was, but at the time I remembered thinking it was pretty unprecedented to see a fairly junior medic (rather than a manager/consultant) speaking to the media in this way and I also felt very uneasy about the impact it might have on people needing to seek treatment.

Brideshead64 · 18/11/2021 22:33

I just remember my wife’s first shift as a junior hospital doctor - I’m not recommending it - but she started at 0800 on the Friday, and finished at 1800 on the Monday. Three hours sleep was a good weekend on call. But she didn’t call the papers the next day.

PigeonLittle · 18/11/2021 22:36

Being temporary staff and creating a media storm by declaring "patients are not safe at this hospital" is a pretty bold fucking move.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 18/11/2021 22:40

Every day I would raise these concerns with the consultants and to the senior nurse on the shop floor, saying ‘look, we need to get a plan together for what we are going to do when we reach capacity zero’

This bit is gob-smacking. The arrogance of a junior locum telling consultants and senior nurses how to run their department (or claiming that he did, which is almost as bad). They must have been frigging desperate for staff to keep him on.

Sunrae28 · 18/11/2021 22:43

'I never wanted to gain fame or notoriety for speaking out' I guess he somehow hadn't heard of the anonymous whistle blowers policy then

Redshoeblueshoe · 18/11/2021 22:47

What I don't buy for one second is claiming not to understand the social media policy. Over 10 years ago I knew 2 people who worked in completely different fields both were instantly dismissed for posting stuff on FB. My teenage GS is very well aware that if he wants to post crap online he needs to be completely anonymous

Terfasaurus · 18/11/2021 22:58

I didn’t follow the parts about the medical certificates and refreshers.

Put me in mind of a Adrian has completed his 5m swimming competency award. Does he stick it on his fridge?

Or maybe he can have a special “I’ve done my social media training” border for his avatar so we can all know he’s now safe?

BreadInCaptivity · 18/11/2021 23:23

Question.

Can AH appeal against the tribunal decision (whatever it is) if he deems it to be inappropriate?

Yes. Next stage is the High Court, a favourite haunt of his favourite golfing buddy.
Personwithrage · 18/11/2021 23:45

Yes, senior nurses who are used to running busy a and e depts are often looking to the junior locums for advice on how to navigate the choppy waters.

He sees himself very differently to how everyone else seems him.

I have learnt so many things on MN, one was the term "Fremdschämen" and this seems like a particularly apt thread to share this wonderful word/concept, for anyone who (like me!) hadn't heard of it.

This whole situation, especially the completely fucked up timing and contents of the the Vice article, is an excellent demonstration of Fremdschämen. I almost turned into a pretzel as I was reading it.

(Of course there is a healthy dose of good old schadenfreude too, we are only human adult females)

Curious. Harrop seems to know all about social media policy when it comes to lecturing lowly paramedics about how to behave online

Fuck me.

Didn't someone reference the Alanis Morissette "Ironic" on the previous thread?

It's almost painful.
