This sounds interesting.

A special ‘Nolan Investigates’ podcast drops tomorrow afternoon on @BBCSounds. An 18 month investigation into the influence of a lobby group on public bodies throughout the UK. More details in the morning

It seems to be about Stonewall.

Anyone know more about it?

There is some chatter about it on Twitter.

twitter.com/janeclarejones/status/1448205588253618176?s=21

(Tweet from JCJ says:

Okay, at last, here it is.

The BBC Ulster documentary on the influence of Stonewall on public life in the UK.

Many GC women have been interviewed for this.

Let's take the lid off this thing shall we?

It's like Sasha Baron Cohen getting politicians to say and do WHAT on film.

I'm sure this is a "soft launch" of examining the WHOLE thing, someone at the BBC has had a letter from Baroness Nicholson's finding from her webinairs, has actually heard the issue, and absolutely shit their pants.

@BoreOfWhabylon

It explains why there has been a distinct shift, certainly on BBC Radio 4, recently. Justin Fletcher and Emma Barnett in particular have been doing superbly, asking the hard questions.

I just hope Jenni Murray is feeling vindicated.

I have to admit I have had to pause listening to episode 4, just after the explanation that having green can be an example of queer coding.

Obviously unaware of punks, goths and alternatives.

It's possible the well known YouTuber is preparing content for his channel on this topic? And simultaneously participating in several WhatsApp groups?

This is amazing! So comprehensive and clear, I'm only on episode 3 so far, but this is something I can forward to friends and relatives.
P.s. Justin Fletcher 😂😂

Blah blah 'most marginalised people' blah blah 'shame of our national broadcaster' blah blah 'suicide' blah blah 'wrong side of history'.

I've listened to the end of episode 4 - had to stop after the non binary burble for a break. It reminded me of that classic Morecombe & Wise sketch with Andre Previn about playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order Grin
I knew I was listening to English being spoken but the words didn't join together to make coherent sense.

However, fair play to the BBC for finally allowing an analysis of their own failings in relation to their inappropriate relationship with a partisan political group.

I have developed a massive crush on him and I'm only three episodes in.

I believe all the real work was done by the investigative journalist (can't remember his name but in the first episode, I think).

Nolan asks the faux-naive "man in the street" type questions though, and does it very very well.
