This sounds interesting.

A special ‘Nolan Investigates’ podcast drops tomorrow afternoon on @BBCSounds. An 18 month investigation into the influence of a lobby group on public bodies throughout the UK. More details in the morning

It seems to be about Stonewall.

Anyone know more about it?

There is some chatter about it on Twitter.

twitter.com/janeclarejones/status/1448205588253618176?s=21

(Tweet from JCJ says:

Okay, at last, here it is.

The BBC Ulster documentary on the influence of Stonewall on public life in the UK.

Many GC women have been interviewed for this.

Let's take the lid off this thing shall we?

So this is a BBC podcast criticising the BBC's relationship with Stonewall? Presumably agreed at a relatively high level and some weeks/ months in the researching. And last week we hear rumours that the BBC has parted company with Stonewall and on Woman's Hour Emma Barnett is suddenly asking the questions that should have been asked years ago.

Hmmmm. Wonder if they are in any way connected? (I think they must be)

I’ve only listened to the trailer and I’m covered in goosebumps. Have they really done this?!

@Jaysmith71

....Do you suppose this comes from the Nicola Williams/Cyclist who shall not be named debacle on Nolan's show???

Karma Gonna Getya.

I wonder if this is the case! I was so annoyed by the aptly named debacle and the porkies I was told by the production team that I pursued my complaint to the BBC to the third (executive?) level and had it upheld which was quite satisfying. I've just listened to the trailer - it sounds promising and I'm sure I recognised Nic Williams' voice.

It's a relief that someone's finally gone there, isn't it?!

This is brilliant. Tackling it from the angle of asking if Stonewall have been overly involved, given a favourable position, asking if other groups not agreeing with them have had an equal footing. I love that they are clearly saying these issues being pushed are new and contested.
