I have just sent a complaint using my nhs email and fwiw I also copied in the ombudsman whose email is right at the bottom of the link a pp helpfully provided.
I was going to add that hospitals still have Women's Departments and decided to check the A-Z of my hospital to see what language is currently being used. What do you know. The WOMEN's department/services, which I am quite sure was there not so long ago, has disappeared. It is now The Family and Specialist Services Division.
There is no Woman in the A-Z at all!
I'm quite sure it was there earlier in the year as I remember walking in from the car park and finding myself talking to a very pleasant woman who introduced herself as head of women's services and I went and looked in the intranet to check her name.
It's infuriating as of course once a website is updated there is no easy way to go back and check what was there before. So I encourage posters to check their local hospital services and keep a record.
Liverpool does still have a Women's Hospital.
Maybe we need a thread keeping records for women's health provision and language used around this for the sake of posterity?
I have just noticed the latest newsletter says Sept 2019
I will have a look at that when I get a chance. Maybe the word Woman will still be evident.
