How incredibly insulting. Don't they know that penises can be outie vaginas as well as becoming innie vaginas, sometimes with a bit of help from some bowel. How dare they suggest that bodies with vaginas are the type to have periods.

Lancet do better, educate yourself.

Yeah surely it's really transphobic to use 'bodies with vaginas' when they actually mean 'menstruators' as transwomen can, like, totally have a vagina (and we are told they are even better than those awful cis vaginas as well). This is very exclusionary of The Lancet and will be so triggering for those transwomen with vaginas to have to think that they are not the ones being centred in this particular article.

Their attempt at inclusiveness shows how much they'd rather support everyone else BUT women. There is no reason at all why we can't support every gender and every body INCLUDING women. 'Women' and 'female' aren't dirty words.

If this were truly about being inclusive of trans men, then they wouldn't refer to 'men' when talking about prostate cancer because 'not all men have a prostate' and that would be 'reductive and exclusionary' (I think those were the words of Munroe Bergdorf...)

No, it's clearly about transwomen (ie. Males) who cannot stand the thought of not being centred in any conversation about womanhood. About anything to do with women being something that clearly doesn't include them. And they don't want to be reminded that 'people with prostates' does include them because... They are male and males are the 'bodies with prostates'.
