What it isn't is relevant to concepts , behaviour, or analysis based on sex

What it isn't is objectively definable or measurable

A persons chosen expression if that identity can lead to discrimination which is rooted partly in sexism ( a man shouldn't look like that )

How the fuck do you live as a woman

Yeah I'm actually confused... I live with my boyfriend, we both live exactly the same? I wear trousers to work, he wears trousers to work, I go to work, he goes to work, I cook dinner, he cooks dinner, I wash up, he washes up, I shower, he showers, the only difference in our days is that I put makeup on and he doesn't, I have long hair and he doesn't... is that the part that makes me a woman? 🤔

I wear some of my sons cast off sports clothes and we both like similar things. So I live as a teenage boy?

People are fully entitled to raise any concerns they have about GRA reform. However, the way concerns are raised matters. Presenting a minority group as representing a threat to the majority is harmful.

Male people are not a minority group Mhairi.

If that minority group is in hard, cold fact harmful to female humans' needs and rights - which harm wins? Are we going to suppress people mentioning things that don't fit a political narrative? No one got the guts in the SNP to actually cope with and address the issues rather than cover their eyes shouting 'I don't want to look at that!'?

Because fitness for office is a thing.

I can live as Beatrix Potter, The Queen, landlady of the Queen Vic on EastEnders, Nancy from Oliver Twist, my neighbour up the street, my kids' headteacher - which woman would you like me to live as?

Because those women have only one thing in common which is their biology. The outfits and styles and daily life and activities.... there isn't one uniting recipe to do it. There really isn't. This is just incredibly rude and insulting to women by reducing them to characterised stereotypes in about the same way as it would be to say you were going to live as a Native American.

I remember asking an article about a woman who

lives as if she was in the 1940s. Clothes, makeup, hair, even household appliances, furniture and decorations . She really went for it.

She didn’t really live in the 1940s though. She just liked it. Obviously we now have things like medicines, proper tampons and phones in every hose now. And no ww2. She was a time tourist.

And I'm guesing an absence of Doodlebugs and V2 rockets.

One impact that these proposals and the parallel regime change for Scottish schools is that Scotland will be able to claim that within a generation it has 'addressed' every young gay and lesbian person who has lived their early lives in Scotland. I can't imagine for one moment that a Scottish boy who exhibits any same-sex attraction, isn't going to be fast-tracked onto the SNP's trans-path, and the same for a same-sex -attracted schoolgirl.

'transing-the-gay-away' is now a Scottish government strategy, though it's unlikely it will be willingly admitted.

Someone of course will state it is; they'll be some civil servant, some SNP minion or what-not who will have a fall-out with a manager, a team leader, didn't get the promotion or pay-rise expected, and in revenge, will blurt-out the policy to all-and-sundry.

Otherwise, by the time (the then older) members of Scotland's gay community figure things out, it will be long past too late. Homesexuals (other than the trans kind) will have been excised from the country within three decades.

I imagine Paisley would return to his birth country to support that.

@Rhannion I have to be careful due to my job in a woke stonewalled organisation but I do have my ribbons and have been putting out little snippets of “not understanding.”

Ie what’s the issue, surely we should just be kind as if someone goes to all the trouble to get their bits lobbed off then what’s the issue, to surprise that they haven’t been lobbed off to then asking them how they are a women to not understanding what it feels like to be a woman. So far the dumb act has confused them as they haven’t been able to articulate what a woman is whilst trying to kindly educate me. I’m hoping that this tactic will not out me in work but plant enough seeds of doubt in their minds.

It may work but we will see.

That said my dh seems to be doing a great job on Twitter and I did see someone on here linking to a tweet that had originated from him.

He doesn’t work in a woke organisation so has much more freedom to speak out than I- oh the irony that my husband needs to speak for me!
