Gay man 'bullied' off Manchester Pride for wearing LGB Alliance hat and t-shirt

LibDem activist delighted by this. Here are two of her tweets. The gay man who turned up in an LGB hat and t-shirt was allegedly advised by police to leave for his own safety and seems to have had the hat stolen.

Another young fool tweeted that 'bullying the guy in the LGB Alliance shirt who came to the protest march is my favourit part of Pride so far xx'. He has since deleted this (possibly because he is now sober and/or has seen how many people had reported this to his employers) and now claims he was just chanting 'Trans lives matter!'. 'Bullying' is an odd choice of words for this. How could anyone think admitting publicly to 'bullying' was a good look?

The LGB Alliance man has been advised that people shouting at him is actually assault if he wants to take it further. Doesn't sound like he does, though.

The chilling effect that a single person who wears a t-shirt and hat bearing the logo of a group that has trans supporters, but doesn’t centre their needs, is abused and targeted this way shows the degree of entitlement that group has. That they cannot see that they could have simply leave him be, even if he was yelling that gay men are same sex attracted to the crowd. They were a large group and a single person could easily be ignored. They chose not to.

A single person! Could you imagine if this happened to an individual trans rights protestor at a feminist event??

Would it have been all right to go to Pride wearing a t-shirt from Mermaids or GIRES? They don't work for LGB people. You do know that before 2015 Stonewall didn't work for trans equality - its focus was LGB rights. Was that transphobic?

Anyway, I guess we are destined to wait in vain for the explanation of why LGBA are a hate group, and will wait still longer for an explanation of why a howling mob and theft are an appropriate reaction to a t shirt indicating support for same sex attraction.

It is a bit confusing as it's not what we normally hear from the poster with a name similar to yours. I haven't seen them around for a while so assume they've either left MN or name changed.
