Oh, my mistake, I see what you mean; the schools are ignoring even the professionals' advice. That's rather telling!! and eerie Shock

So they will listen to lobby groups, and probably professionals on board with their agenda then. But won't listen to parents, professionals working with the kids, other evidence etc.

If that doesn't reek of agenda, I don't know what does.
maybe it's all down to politics then. the kids are being used as political pawns?

Yes, exactly!

Been reading about Body Dysmorphic Disorder and OCD. Not so far from gender dysphoria. For both of these it seems the worst thing you can do is 'affirm' or 'accommodate' the obsessions and compulsions as doing so leads to very temporary relief before their brain demands further accommodations and then further. Treatment requires hard work being exposed to their fears till they lose their power (exposure and response prevention). The very opposite of what is demanded for gender dysphoria. No wonder they want to distance it from mental health.
Analysis on the TransPulse stats by MBM. Well worth a read:

murrayblackburnmackenzie.org/2021/08/19/use-of-statistics-in-the-scottish-government-publication-supporting-transgender-pupils-in-schools/
MBM has given a very temperate take on the egregious misuse of the underlying surveys and subgroup analyses in that Scots Gov. publication and disinfographic.

It's made me nostalgic for something I read years ago:

he may not believe the bullshit himself, but may repeat it to his readers because he hopes that doing so advances some agenda of his own…
…his job, the reason why this would not be a purely exploitative manipulation of those readers, is that his stories ought to tell his readers things which will make them better informed about the world, better able to make their way through it. He has just demonstrated that he is either unable or unwilling to do his job. His readers might attempt to extract information from his words by undoing the distortions imposed by his folly and manipulations, but life is too short. His words are worth attending to only as specimens, rather than communications.

I wish I thought better of the Scots Gov. than they'd stoop to comparable levels of manipulation and distortion, especially when the wellbeing of young people is in jeopardy.

This reporting of the info graphoc also goes against samaritans guidance about not attributing suicide to a simply single cause. It does not compare any other demographic for the suicidal group vs the non suicidal group which may be a clear confounder. Mist particularly Parents not fully supportive (somewhat supportive patents are grouped with unsupportive) due to their adult child's mental health difficulties; parents who have seen their child's mental health decline as a result of genderideology and seen them attempt suicide and therefore not fully supportive of it. The info graphic could just as well have said "parents of young adults with poor mental health who have attempted suicide since adopting a transgender identity do not fully support them adopting an ideology which subsequently led to suicidal thoughts."
