Wtf have I just been reading. This person is seriously deranged.

KittenKong · 02/08/2021 11:48

And so are the people jumping to say how despicable anyone is who states their sex (they never seem to denounce the crime or show any compassion for the victim).

ShamelessCurtainTwitcher · 02/08/2021 11:53

I’m not a religious woman at all but I am praying Mrs Chandler’s dementia protects her from any realization of what’s been done to her.

I guess it depends on the age of the child.

Or as in this case whether the victim is mentally incapacitated?

KittenKong · 02/08/2021 13:37

God thats depressing isn’t it.

RoyalCorgi · 02/08/2021 13:41

When you get someone like shadowfey tweeting that it's important to recognise rapists' pronouns, I do wonder whether the tweeting person is really in a troll farm somewhere. shadowfey has a very small number of followers.

Snookie00 · 02/08/2021 13:42

@yourhairiswinterfire. I was on that Twitter thread on Friday night arguing with those nutjobs. Apparently I’m a rape apologist because I said men rape. They were appalled that he had been misgendered. It was bonkers. These people are so deluded.

Dunno. I argued with her/him for a while until I got blocked by them for committing the crime of calling Chris a man. There was quite a few of them - kept getting their creepy pals to join in. I really think they believe their bullshit.

I'd like to think that, but the US and British police, press, courts and prison system all do it too.
ErrolTheDragon · 02/08/2021 13:59

But surely that doesn't include unconsenting sex? That's my point really. Whether incest is legal or not, unconsenting sex still isn't.

Presumably it makes a difference to which crime this person is tried for, and what the sentence is for each of them. I'd have thought there would be a rape trial anyway, that the question is whether there is incest in addition.

Why was my post deleted? As an autistic person MYSELF, I am really concerned about what is happening with autistic culture.

You probably fell foul of the rule about making sweeping generalisations about groups or communities of people that could be considered uncivil, unkind or cause offence.

I fell foul of this rule myself a few weeks back but in my case the 'community' was convicted male sex offenders.

It probably won't make sense to you but there you go.

For what it's worth, as the parent of a young man on the spectrum I agree there's a lot to be concerned about re online autism culture and peer support.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 02/08/2021 14:21

Acceptance without exception.

That's the thing, isn't it? If we accept the nice, kind, vulnerable trasnwomen into our single sex spaces then we also have to accept people like this.

No.

ShamelessCurtainTwitcher · 02/08/2021 14:22

Heaven forbid that convicted male sex offenders are offended.

Bloody hell Confused

Crazy. Absolutely crazy.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 02/08/2021 14:30

Jules and Ova

I share your concerns. There's a young man in Wales with a criminal record because of his autism. He asked a PCSO whether they were a boy or a girl - which, yes, was insensitive, but his awareness of social norms is affected by his neurodiversity. Which is a protected characteristic, which wasn't enough to protect him from a criminal conviction. Go figure.

Here's the NAS pages on gender. They advise speaking to Mermaids and the Tavistock. www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/what-is-autism/autism-and-gender-identity

Anyway, that's a derail from the topic, sorry.

Kittii · 02/08/2021 14:32

It makes me despair of the human race that so many people seem to have bought into this fantasy that a man can become a woman just because he says so. It's absolutely crazy and I don't understand how anyone can actually, genuinely believe it.

Snookie00 · 02/08/2021 14:59

I know. I’ve got down the Twitter rabbit hole on this and it is deeply scary that so many people unquestioningly without logic or scientific basis start from a position that these men are women and so hang all their other beliefs on this flawed position.

I feel like this mindset is the same as the fervent religious beliefs that many people hold. They believe things so therefore it shapes their dialogue. They can’t question it as they are scared of being shunned by their community so double down to prove how “pure” they are.

It is. Especially so when the so called "sceptic" community does this.

EyesOpening · 02/08/2021 15:53

@KittenKong

I was reading something over the weekend about a state in the US which technically doesn’t have a law against a mum having sex with her daughter as technically it’s not incest (or some such - must look it up again), but then what’s a woman?. It’s the loopiest loophole anyway.
They must have written them back in the days when they didn’t believe a woman could have a penis.

This whole debacle is just so abhorrent. And people worrying more about misgendering, FFS

ScreamingMeMe · 02/08/2021 16:24

@Mrsmorton

This is one of the most disturbing things I have ever read about.
Yes. Makes Yaniv look positively normal in comparison. It's one of those things that I wish I could "unknow".
RedDogsBeg · 02/08/2021 19:17

@thinkingaboutLangCleg

So it’s insane bigotry to object to a man raping his demented mother. But the rape is ok if we call the man ‘she’.

Got it. I think I’m getting the hang of how to be woke.

Ah yes the misgendering is far more important than anything else.

No, it is not misgendering it is correctly sexing and as believing that sex is immutable and unchangeable is protected under UK Law I shall continue to correctly sex human beings.

IvyTwines2 · 02/08/2021 20:22

Mental health, and mental health care and safeguarding, really must be allowed back into the conversation.

TalkingOutYerArse · 02/08/2021 20:48

Defending a blokes pronouns who raped his poor mother?!

#notacult.

Nope. Not at all.

Ninkanink · 02/08/2021 21:07

Such utterly despicable attitudes; deeply disturbing. What the HELL is wrong with these people.

That was a truly heinous crime that HE committed. This was a male crime, committed by a man, against a completely defenceless woman.
