This is supposed to be the reason. So where is the contingency plan? Can't the picnic go ahead (is it going ahead? It isn't clear) or another venue be used for the speeches?

FFS. Living centrally is one massive PITA sometimes. I am fed up with all these idiots looking for a bloody lunch up descending on us! It was going to be so nice to have a bloody ladies picnic for a change. I was hoping for Pims and Bawdy behaviour.

What about all the women who have paid for train tickets that can't be refunded? Why can't the picnic go ahead at least?

*punch up (their lunch usually comprises a crate of beer)

They will be swarming west London as usual. Looking for a fight. It’s pretty horrible when the mad max crowd turn up around here.

I thought the compounding of lunch time punch up worked quite well actually....

Well London is a big place. Move it elsewhere.

I hope they do, they have a couple of days notice. The Scotland one had a good turn out and that was a weekday.

I can't believe people are so sanguine about this.
We don't all live in London, we can't all afford fully refundable or changeable train tickets. Where is the will to do something about it? London is full of bloody parks, surely it is not beyond the wit of a group of women to figure this out?

Happy to meet elsewhere if people want to meet up.

Can I suggest waiting for an announcement from Posie before adjusting plans etc. She usually sends emails and announces on the SfW FB page if there's any changes and I haven't received/seen anything 'official' yet.

Brilliant. Well if they don't I'd happily have a MN meet.

Very disappointing that women want to meet, and have made plans incurring expense but we’re potentially being prevented from doing so on account of men’s actions Angry doesn’t that just say it all?

I really did want to see the speeches, fortunately don’t need to book tickets or anything, so can stay flexible.
