I live in Central London so have been effectively forced to 'spend time' with XR members.

Like many others I am deeply concerned about the environment and try hard to minimise my personal impact. That is why I was so shocked about both the use of plastic and the mess. Grim.

I have never met anyone who I consider stupid.
I accept people just as they are!
But people accept Covid facts as facts, the accept the vaccination because science said we should.
So with climate change the scientists, the experts have warned us all regardless of background, gender etc is clear.
Just wondered why this is not treated with the same consideration

If you want to talk about covid, go to the covid board. If you want to talk about climate change, go to the climate change board.

If you want to talk about the extremist ideology spouted by a (since deleted) XR tweet and the related ways in which they manage to harm their own cause, stay here.

Plenty of people are very concerned. However the Green Party seem more interested in promoting gender ideology, and it appears XR also suffer from a streak of misogyny.

I cannot see what benefits were achieved by closing down central London for days on end. Not the obvious way to get people on side.

If there was rubbish it did not come from XR as a group we constantly tidy, reminded to respect our space🦠
When we have camped in London boroughs the organisation has been praised for the tidiness and behaviour of members .
If ever you think the organisations had not kept to standards find a Stewart and make them aware members will tidy

Nigel - if you're still here no one has denied climate change or environmental risks. Extinction Rebellion however do more harm than good.

If Extinction Rebellion cared about the environment, why were they so quiet about travel during a pandemic. I mean, you'd think reduced flights would be something they'd campaign for. If we won't stop flying around the world during a pandemic, we need to accept that we're not going to tackle climate change.

XR seem more concerned about stopping working class people getting to work, and ill and disabled people getting to hospital, than saving the environment. Their actions frequently cause more pollution too. Blocking traffic forcing vehicles to stay longer on the roads and driving diverted routes that take longer tends to do that.

BLM are the same. High up on their manifesto is to centre TW of colour
You'd think TW were a very powerful group rather than the most opressed
Of only the poor, the disabled, those from the care system, many others were centered or even considered
