@Ekofisk, I corrected my faulty recollection several posts back. Are you reading or just reacting?
And do you really consider it would be fine for 1in 3 (rather than my erroneous 1in 2) inmates in women's prisons in the UK to be intact males? Would that be OK with you? And realistically, if they agreed to every existing request for a transfer to the women's estate, how long would it be until the penis-havers outnumbered the women, do you think?
Estimates on a postcard, please. Weeks can be rounded to months.
I could give another lesson on rounding, but I'd have to charge, as you're neither a family member nor under the age of 10 and I'm all charitied out on this topic now. 😂
No, you haven’t corrected anything.
And I can read just fine, thank you.
I wasn’t disputing the stats on trans woman sex offenders, BTW, or the fact that trans women have male offending patterns.
It was your following statement that is nonsense:
Apparently there are more XY convicted people currently in or clamouring to get into the women's estate than there are women incarcerated in total.
And then, as a PP correctly inferred from your statement, queried how there could be 4000 (rounded up from 3812 provided in the FPFW link) male prisoners claiming to be women, was accused of making things up?
Even using the 3430 figure, it’s just a wee bit more than 1 in 50 (or 2%) of the male population of 77,420 (or 148.4 males, I’ll let you do the rounding).
The Telegraph 1:50 quoted figure is confirmed in the Bent Bars Project:
In its 2018-19 Annual Report, HM Inspectorate of Prison England & Wales noted that in its survey of 5,990 respondents in men’s prisons, 2% of people identified as transgender. Of 458 respondents in women’s prisons, 1% identified as transgender.6 If those numbers are accurate and representative, it would mean that there could be approximately 1570 trans people in men’s prisons and around 35-40 in women’s prisons.7 However as some prisons hold more vulnerable prisoners (including trans prisoners) than others, scaling up these percentages across the estate is not necessarily reliable.

I’m also happy to assure you that my maths is quite adequate, on the basis that nothing I’ve designed over the last 30 years has either blown up or fallen down.
