Having pulled both of my daughters out based on their switching of gender/sex and what Myself and my husband believe are strong safeguarding concerns as a result as well as the general erosion of girls’ rights as a result I’m wondering if it’s now a lost cause? Is there any chance at all of them being challenged or is that it now?

I think so - maybe change their social media policy so that these things aren't visible. It would take a massive about turn to change their way of thinking. They are so far down this blind alleyway and there is the sunken costs fallacy.

@PiffleWiffleWoozle

Bloody hell *@ChristinaXYZ* that link is shocking.

It also encourages leaders to keep secrets with the children under their care, which is a MASSIVE no no for safeguarding.

And it says if under 16s are having sex this is not a safeguarding issue as long as it is consensual. WTAF!!!!!!!???

Who can this be reported to?

Who can it be reported to? that's the crux of the problem. Safeguarding problems all over the place in society at the moment and there is no on-stop-shop to raise concerns when the trustees/boards/managers of these organisation whether Girl Guides, NHS trusts or prisons just disregard everything we've understood about safeguarding women, children and vulnerable people over the last 20 years. It would be great if the Home Office could have some sort of whistle-blowing hot line that required the government to look and take responsibility for what is going on right across the board.

Complain about a charity

Complain to the charity directly unless you suspect illegal activity, like terrorism or abuse.

Contact the police on 101 if you suspect illegal activity.

If you are not happy with how the charity deals with your complaint, contact the relevant regulator.

DBS - Reporting concerns.

The Government provides this information:

”Report someone as unfit to work with children or vulnerable adults”

Parents or members of the public who are concerned about someone working with children or vulnerable adults should contact the police, social services or the person’s employer.

Refer someone to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

Employers must refer someone to DBS if they:

  • sacked them because they harmed someone

  • sacked them or changed their role because they might have harmed someone

  • were planning to sack them for either of these reasons, but they resigned first

You’re breaking the law if you do not refer someone to DBS when you should.

Contact the helpline for help referring someone to DBS.
