Wishing her the very best of luck. twitter.com/MForstater/status/1402310977115279362?s=20

I'll be absolutely gutted if the original decision isn't overturned, but at least her case has let a lot of sunlight in.

Good luck Maya, and thank you Flowers

JulesJules · 10/06/2021 07:58

Feeling nervous about this after Oxfam and Keir Starmer yesterday.

Good luck Maya.Flowers

OUB1974 · 10/06/2021 08:02

Good luck, thinking of you today.

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 10/06/2021 08:10

Maya Flowers

HeavenHotel · 10/06/2021 08:10

Good luck Maya.

OhHolyJesus · 10/06/2021 08:11

Good luck Maya, when you stand there, imagine the thousands of women standing beside you. We are with you xx

nauticant · 10/06/2021 08:13

Good luck Maya.

If you do win I hope there are no undermining comments in the decision about how perhaps things might have gone better had you tried to be kind.

PaperTrails · 10/06/2021 08:29

Good luck, Maya. Whatever the outcome, you are an inspiration. Standing with you alongside thousands of other women.

yourhairiswinterfire · 10/06/2021 08:30

@DeeKavCoffee

I believe in freedom of speech and all that, but i have to be honest and say i dont think she should win this. GC beliefs aside i think it was the way she went about them that made her get fired (or loose her contract or whatever it was)
How are women supposed to talk about this then? Because whatever way we try, it's always the ''wrong way''.

We can be as kind, sympathetic or polite as possible when discussing these issues, yet get abuse, deplatformed, reported to employers/the police in return.

The only ''right way'' is total capitulation, which looks a lot like stifling free speech to me 🤷‍♀️

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 10/06/2021 08:34

I am trying to imagine how I'd feel if I knew the outcome of my case and had to wait until 10:30 to share it.

I'd have to be locked away in a shed in a wifi free zone.

Hope you are ok, Maya.

quixote9 · 10/06/2021 08:36

So boggling that something with such an obvious answer can be in doubt. That we're worried. I know I'm worried. How could it ever have come to this?

Thanks for all you've done, Maya.

Nitgel · 10/06/2021 08:37

Checkin in too

nauticant · 10/06/2021 08:47

The case is not being discussed on the Today Programme on Radio 4.

nauticant · 10/06/2021 08:48

Joanna Cherry is the person they've got on to interview.

WotgunShedding · 10/06/2021 08:48

Joanna Cherry is on!

nauticant · 10/06/2021 08:49

Grrr. not, now

ArabellaScott · 10/06/2021 08:49

Good luck, Maya (and by extension, everyone in the UK). Thinking of you today.

Oblomov21 · 10/06/2021 08:50

Today?
Fabulous. Had missed that it was happening today.

WotgunShedding · 10/06/2021 08:51

"Where does it leave trans people and their right not to be degraded or humiliated?"

Joanna Cherry explains they'll still be protected under EA and it's not about trans vs GC

nauticant · 10/06/2021 08:51

Joanna Cherry is deftly stepping around gotchas from the interviewer.

nauticant · 10/06/2021 08:53

I think this interviewer got her media training from the same place as Benjamin Cohen.

rogdmum · 10/06/2021 08:55

Maya’s case being discussed on Radio 4 right now (from 8:46ish)

Go Joanna - brilliant responses

rogdmum · 10/06/2021 08:58

Haha, sorry, late to the chat!

Soontobe60 · 10/06/2021 09:02

Damn, missed it. Anyone got a link?
