I think it's more complex than that. Some are jobsworths, some are desperate to be virtuous, cool and open-minded, and a lot are not jobsworths but need to keep their job to support their family, and have had no choice but to pretend to go along with it.

I also think a lot of it is unconscious misogyny and feeling very comfortable with feminists being the new enemies who you are allowed to despise and bully.

Joss Prior's latest schtick is that Gender Critical people should be reported to their employers, just in case we harrass trans people.
