Wishing her the very best of luck. twitter.com/MForstater/status/1402310977115279362?s=20

I'll be absolutely gutted if the original decision isn't overturned, but at least her case has let a lot of sunlight in.

Jonathon Ross congratulated Maya and said “justice”. Don’t think he’ll be retracting this tweet like he has others.

Jane Fae had dodgy wifi. Was it the filters?

EwwSprouts · 10/06/2021 22:36

Yes Jane Fae was erm...

TinselAngel · 10/06/2021 22:36

@WinterTrees

BBC news featured the fragrant Jane (extreme porn advocate) Fae, saying that some trans people were so scared they were thinking of leaving the country.

I'm not even going to comment on that.

Why was the picture so bad? It was as if they were wearing the one ring.
vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 10/06/2021 22:36

I'mopening some wine for Question Time. And I gave up QT after Robin Day left.

ScreamingMeMe · 10/06/2021 22:37

@Mollyollydolly

I love this photo. Sleep well tonight Maya .. hope the hangover isn't too bad!
Nice tshirt!
Paralithic · 10/06/2021 22:38

Was Jane Fae the one that wouldn’t directly debate on Woman’s Hour a while ago, or am I thinking about someone else?

Although, thinking about it, that might have been Helen Belcher.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 10/06/2021 22:41

I like to concentrate on Jane 's knitting rather than Jane's opinions on porn.

And go where?

Most of the US doesn't offer anything akin to the provisions and rights in the UK.

Canada is a possibility - if Fae wishes to team up with Jessica Simpson (if I have the correct version of the family name for formerly Jessica Y)?

I'd like to know which countries represent the nirvana that offers fuller rights for Fae than the UK?

WinterTrees · 10/06/2021 22:48

I feel Jane's opinions on porn, and particularly Jane's belief that people should have the freedom of expression to write pornographic fan fiction about the gruesome dismemberment about the members of Girls Aloud, should always be mentioned whenever Jane is given a media platform. Particularly as Jane likes to claim that trans women are afraid of women.

PearPickingPorky · 10/06/2021 22:49

Ah Jane. The feminist who promoted extreme porn (wasn't it necrophilia? ) and teaches people how to wipe their hard drive?

Such a prim and proper lady.

OhHolyJesus · 10/06/2021 22:50

Well what a day!

Huge congrats to Maya and her legal team and everyone at Sex Matters.

At various points today T*RF, gender critical and sexnotgender were trending on Twitter with various misinterpretations and meltdowns.

It has been joyous.

Paralithic · 10/06/2021 22:51

Yuk. That’s just misogynistic to the extreme.

Paralithic · 10/06/2021 22:52

^^ Jane Fae. Grim.

nauticant · 10/06/2021 23:03

I wonder what it'll take for people to realise that discriminating against customers based on their protected characteristics is a bad idea:

Fabulous!

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 11/06/2021 00:10

Didn't Jim Davidson threaten to leave the country if the Tories didn't win one election? If only people who threatened it carried through.

Wunderbar!
InspiralCoalescenceRingdown · 11/06/2021 01:18

@ScreamingMeMe

Oh good grief.

Didn't Jane also claim to be "terrified" of Jenni Murray.

Sure, Jan Jane

Was it this you were thinking of?

Ben Cooper QC and Anya Palmer, instructed by Peter Daly of Doyle Clayton, represented Maya. Their summary:Forstater v CGD Europe & others UKEAT/0105/20/JOJ, 10 June 2021

WarriorN · 11/06/2021 06:41

Apologies if this has been discussed but how does this affect the recent law changes (suggested?) in Scotland in practise?

ScreamingMeMe · 11/06/2021 06:43

That's it! Glorious
