Just saw Owen Jones' latest facebook post - encouraging people to pre-order a book by Shon Faye called "The Transgender issue" and suggesting that the press are "waging war on trans people."

So far, so much the same.

But the comments on the post are largely very critical. People are asking whether the book presents both sides of the argument; they are highlighting the war on women; pointing out the importance of safeguarding ...

I've never seen this before - it's a huge change from the usual response.

I know, only in a pure patriarchy would allowing male rapists into women's prisons, allowing males to compete in women's sports and abolishing all female only single sex spaces and provision be framed as 'justice'.

Owen Jones Twitter has been fascinating the last few days. So much lashing out over this whole Stonewall thing, lots of shouting 'YOURE ALL JUST MEAN AND HORRID' but not a single actual argument or point made as to why Stonewall should be above criticism or accountability.

He is basically relying on the 'this is just like the homophobia of the 80s and 90s' line over and over again, which can be ripped apart in seconds by anyone with half a brain.

It's hard to believe he is actually a 'journalist' a lot of the time.
