Also, I have no idea of the accuracy of the assertion obv, but a comment below the DM article states that 25% of employees in the U.K. work for an organisation that is a stonewall diversity champion. Seems a believable figure considering how many organisations are signed up to the scheme. I hadn't thought about it in terms of that sort of statistic previously, it's pretty shocking the extent of their influence.

Add in the other largescale employers who are signed up as Stonewall Diversity Champions and it's feasible that 25% of employees are covered by virtue of Stonewall's partnership with large employers.
It's always easier to throw money at a glamorous problem that will gain you awards and credit you with desirable points than to embrace dealing with the needs of those of your workforce who have unglamorous and boring disabilties etc. that will take a reworking of your workflow, systems and genuine culture change to influence.
