It never stops in West Yorkshire. 29 Men Charged in Connection with Child Sexual Exploitation in Calderdale

This was a press release from West Yorkshire police yesterday:-

www.westyorkshire.police.uk/news-appeals/29-men-charged-connection-child-sexual-exploitation-calderdale

It's connected to historic offences committed against a single victim from 2003 to 2010.

On the plus side, WYP do now seem to be taking these things more seriously but on the down side this is still from more than ten years ago.

Also, what really got to me about this story was that there were 29 men charged for crimes against the same, single victim.

I can't imagine what her life must have been like as a teenager when the offending was taking place.

Meant to add that white men say things about girls from my culture too there.

Whatwouldscullydo · 14/05/2021 09:20

Oh god :(

I sincerely hope the police are also protecting the victims. That's always been another massive failure of wyp. The girls deserve better than to used for info then forced to live in fear of who shows up at the door.

Horrific

FindTheTruth · 14/05/2021 10:16

Now there is a constant trickle of cars transferring single females, a steady trickle.
It's still happening and it's even harder to see now.
You also never get an opportunity to chat to the girls now. It's a slicker more professional set up.

my god @TheQueef

so if professionals can see what's happening, what are the blockers stopping people collectively doing something about it?

At what point is Israel going to stop stealing Palestinian land. Gaza is virtually a huge prison camp.

Israel wants all of it. They want Palestine to cease to exist.

This is projection onto Jews/Israel of what the Palestinian side is actually guilty of. No, Israel doesn't want "all" the Palestinian territory. For example, they completely pulled out of Gaza. It didn't stop the terrorist attacks obviously. Bad conditions in Gaza are the fault of their rulers Hamas.

Take a look at the original Hamas Charter and it's based around land theft by Muslims. For similar reasons, some Mulims today think they have a right to Spain also.

Quote:

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Moslem generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Moslem generations till Judgement Day?

This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the Moslems have conquered by force, because during the times of (Islamic) conquests, the Moslems consecrated these lands to Moslem generations till the Day of Judgement.

avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp

So the Muslims stole the land in Islamic conquest, and it then belongs to the Muslims forever. That's their freaking justification. They admit that the "land theft" was done by their own side. Hamas may try to distance themselves from the original charter these days, but they are still after all of Israel's land. That hasn't changed.

This below is the same town, Halifax (Calderdale) in 2016. There were also prosecutions from the same town in 2015 and another going through the courts, arrested in 2019/20 (including a policeman) ATM, as well the one reported this week

This 2016 one was a larger investigation than Rotherham or Rochdale.

How 100 men were able to prey on one vulnerable Halifax schoolgirl for two years
15 MEN have been jailed for a total of 160 years for the horrific sexual abuse of a vulnerable schoolgirl from Halifax

How can that be right? The home office report clearly states that the majority of child sex abuse grooming gangs in the UK are comprised of white males under the age of thirty.

andyoldlabour · 14/05/2021 10:47

Zinco, please start your own thread about the Israel Palestine conflict, instead of trying to derail this one.

Flaxmeadow · 14/05/2021 10:49

I think what people who are not from the north don't realise is that many towns here are seeing 3, 4 or 5 prosecutions of these gangs. Places like Rochdale, Rotherham, Keighley, Halifax, Bradford, Oldham, Huddersfield, Blackburn, Burnley, Dewsbury and so on

Yet as I posted up thread, none of the county's where these towns and citys are were included in the data for the Home Office report

West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire and Lancashire have a combined population of about 10 million people but the Home Office report did not use these places for research. They avoided them and chose areas, I think 6, where GGs are not as prevelant. How can this be right?

Flaxmeadow · 14/05/2021 10:52

andyoldlabour

Because it's being covered up andy. It's an absolute fucking scandal the way these reports are being conducted. They AVOID including the areas in their data where the gangs are prevalent

£1,000 a day salary, lives in £1 million house in Brighton Angry
I do wonder if she has ever even visited the North of England

That article was from 2015, yet she is one of the main authors of the HO report (published 2020)

"£1,000 a day salary, lives in £1 million house in Brighton "

That absolutely stinks of corruption. Voluntary redundancy, then heading up the enquiry into the job you used to do - words fail me!

In 1885 (Victorian times!) a journalist, W.T.Stead wrote a series of articles against the abuse of girls: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Maiden_Tribute_of_Modern_Babylon

Where's the modern equivalent?
"

TheQueef · 14/05/2021 12:38

@FindTheTruth
Ann Cryer shouted her gob off, regardless of the racism accusations.
The alarm was raised.

It's not just ignored it's still actively discouraged.

I reported many things, directly related to one group, and was quickly regarded as having racist motivations.
I admit it put the frighteners on me. I daren't report to SYP.
I ended up calling an ambulance on three separate occasions rather than the police.
I know that was wrong but on each occasion the ambulance took the girl.
The women/ girls were, and still are, expendable. They just aren't important enough.

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 14/05/2021 12:51

The Spectator (I keep agreeing with The Spectator, which troubles me) pointed out

'Digging into the report’s section on the ethnicity of offenders one learns that an official data collection exercise in 2011 involving police forces and other agencies found that of 2,300 possible offenders there was no basic information held about 1,100. Among the remaining 1,200, ethnicity data was not known for 38 per cent. Of the remaining suspects – approximately 750 by my arithmetic – ‘30 per cent of offenders were White, while 28 per cent were Asian’. This presumably is the finding used to justify ‘most commonly White’ – but which seems to miss the obvious point that the white population of England and Wales is around 80 per cent overall.
A second smaller study from 2013 mentioned in the report found that of 306 offenders looked at, 75 per cent were Asian, which actually amounts to a ten-fold over-representation, though the report does not point this out.'

www.safeguardingchildren.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/NYSCP-CSE-Practice-Guidance-v3.1-Nov-19.pdf

This an example of the practice guidance that is being used currently.

That said it is hard to manage teenagers who are getting their needs met emotionally by abusive men, at least there is more awareness of the issue now.

Defaultname · 14/05/2021 13:04

Surely if parents were exercising so little care over these girls as social services are, they would be found to be putting them at risk of "significant harm" as the 'threshold' calls it, and the children would be taken into care?

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 14/05/2021 13:07

@Flaxmeadow how do you know which areas they chose?

In the case studies they highlight one case where offenders were British Pakistani and one of the Rochdale abuse victims was interviewed.

The data above and these points make it weird that they concluded it's most commonly white men. I don't understand the driver for the writers of the paper to be so obtuse.

andyoldlabour · 14/05/2021 13:28

Sarah Champion, Labour MP for Rotherham was hounded out of her shadow cabinet job for speaking out on this subject.

If Labour really is beginning to no longer be able to rely on the Muslim vote in the northern seats, it's just possible that they may decide that caring about the rape of underage girls is a policy they might want to adopt.

I haven't heard any calls for some of the newly-empty statue plinths to have a statue dedicated to the victims of the abuse gangs. Did I miss that?

Flaxmeadow · 14/05/2021 13:48

@Flaxmeadow how do you know which areas they chose?

The HO report is available as a pdf
Titled - Home Office, Group-Based CSE, Characteristics of Offending

From memory the 'case studies' chosen were North Wales, North London, Bristol, Derbyshire and 2 other places, but none of the the places in the case study were in West Yorks, South Yorks, Greater Man or Lancashire.

A PP has quoted part of a Spectator article heavily criticising the report. The full article is titled
'The Home Office's Grooming Report is an Exercise in Obfuscation'

andyoldlabour · 14/05/2021 14:03

This makes for incredible reading and highlights the way the left wing press (Guardian) gleafully reports on the findings.

www.newenglishreview.org/blog_direct_link.cfm?blog_id=70404

Flaxmeadow · 14/05/2021 14:05

Sorry, I see now that it was you who posted the Spectator quote Blush

But yes the article is well worth a read, and 'obfuscation' is a word that crops up time and time again with regards the issue. That and corruption

NiceGerbil · 14/05/2021 14:05

I didn't realise they had manipulated the reports like that.

BASTARDS.
