Girl pushed under train.

Thelnebriati · 10/05/2021 22:50

The girls all have to run past the boys to board the train.
One girl is kicked in the face, spat on, shoved, tripped up, and ends up falling on to the tracks.

The guard in they hi vis yellow jacket just watches.

I'm at the end of my tether with male violence and entitlement.

I’ve signed the petition. This entire video is so shocking you think it can’t be real (he was gwtting of his bike and accidentally kicked her for example) but when you watch it the second time you see that it was no accident and everything was intentional!!

Those boys are disgusting!! And should be held accountable. Can we just accept for a minute that the girl who went under the trained could of died that day- lost her life- murdered!!

skodadoda · 11/05/2021 13:54

@JaniieJones

Absolutely shocking.

Have they been arrested? The assaults are there for all to see see, absolutely clear. As one has been identified surely the police should have swiftly brought him into custody and charged him while they identify the rest.

The rest of them have been identified.

Zzelda · 11/05/2021 13:59

When we moved away from using corporal punishment, it was never based on hard evidence of what does or doesn't work. It was basically a moral reform. It's "progressive" and "humanitarian" to stop doing it.

I guess I could say, the fact that we used those punishments for hundreds of years is evidence that they must have been useful.

You could only claim that they must have been useful if the result was that theft etc was wiped out Self-evidently, that didn't happen. Equally, of course, the threat of imprisonment, community service, probation etc have not wiped out theft, but at least they don't involve cold-bloodedly inflicting extreme violence on someone.

Gymsmile21 · 11/05/2021 13:59

How calmly he walks away too knowing his just thrown someone under a train.

Monster!!

Onlinedilema · 11/05/2021 14:00

Zzelda boo hoo
Hi tell that to someone who cares.

Monster!!

The one who threw her under is wearing red. He does seem shocked after, throwing his hands up in the air. No excuse but just for accuracy.
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 11/05/2021 14:03

Actually they didn't push her under. He shouted or spat in her face and she recoiled and fell.

Crockof · 11/05/2021 14:03

He is the little shit that spat, yes spat , in two girls faces.

Gymsmile21 · 11/05/2021 14:05

No he isnt! The one behind him on the blue bike PUSHES the girl under the train with the wheel of his bike- watch it again!

GCAcademic · 11/05/2021 14:05

It’s the person behind the one in red who pushed her. If you look carefully, you can see that he butts her with the front wheel of his bike,

Gymsmile21 · 11/05/2021 14:07

Then rides off- looks back once to see she is still under there then continues to leave- calmly.

MONSTER!

The joke is he could have pushed two girls under the train as the first one he hits with his wheel doesn’t loose her balance enough

I feel the urge to go and read The Sexual Politics of Meat again.

I don’t think prison really helps tbh. Most of the time they come out just as bad if not worse than when they went in; easily available drugs, gangs and boredom isn’t very reformative.

It is utterly depressing and I feel for those girls. I think we have moved too far towards criminals rights which all sounds lovely in theory in a we want to help not punish but it doesn’t work. You get little sods who think they are untouchable and work the system.

At some point someone will be killed and we will all be shocked and the perpetrators will be punished and the next set feral teens will take their place. I do think there needs to be a zero tolerance approach but it seems impossible to enforce whilst balancing human rights / due process.

I look at that video and the facts seem obvious, the perpetrators should be picked up, dropped off at some sort of boot camp run by the army to deliver a short sharp shock which teaches the little darlings discipline and respect. Repeat offenders can be dropped off on a remote island where they can lord of the flies it out and the rest of us can get on with being normal.

Obviously it would never happen. I’m also quietly horrified by my own thinking. Perhaps I’m getting old and crotchety but it just seems like a minority get away with so much and nothing changes.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 11/05/2021 14:38

Thank you for sharing the petition. Signed.

Redandpink · 11/05/2021 14:48

At the start of the video is showed the girls were apprehensive about going forward when they saw the group of lads. They were slow to proceed but went ahead in a group together. It shows they were all afraid and that they have seen this before. They went ahead to try and get a place on the train and probably to try and get some safety around the security guard. They probably presumed they would get some protection around the security guard.

They were all spat and kicked at while they passed. Its hard to see what exactly happened to the girl who went onto the tracks. It does look like she was kicked and it looks like the wheel of a bike was used to hit her and push her towards the edge. The poor girl, I hope she is OK and recovering well. It's not just this girl though. There's a lot more of this from violent gangs.

It's so upsetting to see. Nothing will ever be done to these lads because they are minors and they are free to continue on intimating others.

Hortimulcher888 · 11/05/2021 15:01

God this is absolutely wretched to watch. Hideous behaviour from those boys. I hope their mothers have the decency to march them to the nearest police station.

What on earth is in their heads that they think they are entitled to spit in a girl's face or any other human being's face for that matter?

Definitely misogynistic behaviour.

I have a seventeen year old daughter and I fear for her out there I really do. So utterly depressing.

Thelnebriati · 11/05/2021 15:23

The mothers are not to blame. Children are influenced by the culture they grow up in more than their mothers.

If that's in response to me op, I totally agree and where did I say mothers were to blame?

If I found out that my son had done this though I would be turning him in.

I just thought I’d add this link to the zero tolerance approach to knife crime in Glasgow - where the crimes of murder halved and serious assaults also reduced. I really think the Police guy who introduced this should go to Dublin, I listened to him speak and he was quite inspiring.

It’s not fighting violence with violence, but they targeted all the main guys and the schools and just threw everything at it. Didn’t wait for it to get bad, nipped it all in the bud. And it seems to have made a big difference.

I do hear from my Irish relations that it just seems to be accepted that teenagers roam around and get violent. Stones thrown at cars regularly and not one kid picked up on it. Of course it’s going to escalate.

mainsfed · 11/05/2021 15:34

Glad they’ve been identified.

What fucking cowards.

Rejoiningperson · 11/05/2021 15:41

Sorry not much info in the above link. This is a better link. The quote is:
Its key message was that gang-related stabbings and slashings were not just a policing issue but a public health issue. The unit's motto was a simple one: "Violence is preventable, not inevitable."

So basically stop accepting any level of violence. I personally do believe that we start with young kids (boys in particular) and don’t stop until they 20 - I will never tolerate ‘boys will be boys’. No hitting, ever. No hurting, even ourselves. No bullying.

I know most cities have problems, I just wasn't aware of it in Dublin. Ive been there many times. What happened to the friendly city I knew? Im really quite shocked by other posts, where people who live in Dublin are talking about what goes on there.
A former colleague moved to Ireland to be an Operations Manager on the buses. He says that they have lots of problems, even involving fireworks being launched at buses. Bear in mind here that in Ireland only professionals are allowed fireworks so these must have been smuggled from the UK.

I’d say all have some responsibility - parents, culture - we all take it on board the quicker we change it. No point in saying ‘it’s someone else’s job’ as culture starts in the home.
Gymsmile21 · 11/05/2021 15:46

The parents are also to blame, not just the mothers but the fathers too. Where do you think they learn this behaviour and that it’s acceptable....from the dictionary?

Transport can be quite bad. The luas around Dublin was notorious for trouble, I think they did make it safer for a bit, not sure now, and when I’ve visited the bus driver was attacked while I was on it with the boy attacking and the GF videoing with her phone. Sad
