How better to start it than with a very famous TW and Olympic champion speaking out for fairness for girls?

I'm left-wing and don't like republican politics at all, but it's Biden's (and Harris's) own lookout that they took the stance they did. If they fall foul of it, they should have thought about that when they decided to throw women under the bus for woke points.

I’m not thinking of true believers, who will merely add their contradictions on this to the logic soup that they all swim round in anyway. I’m thinking more of the “civvies” who won’t be able to square the circle that Jenner saying that male and female bodies are different somehow now means Jenner is not actually trans at all, and this must immediately override the previous version that they were told in which Jenner was always a woman.

The problem is the mantra TWAW. If you accept that transwomen have the physical advantages of a male body, then the mantra goes out the window.

That's true. There will be plenty who won't be able to square the circle. More sunlight. The doors are being thrown open rapidly now, the lights are being switched on and it's just a case of poking around in the dusty corners to see what else is trying to scuttle away from the light and seek refuge in the shadows. It's been a long journey. And the clean up is going to take quite some time.

Had Caitlyn competed in the women's category in 1976, bearing in mind that there wasn't ever a women's decathlon, then Caitlyn would have won the following medals for the following individual events.
100m - gold
400m - gold
Long jump - gold
Javelin - gold
High jump - gold

Jenner would have been ridiculed in interviews if any other position than this was taken. It would have been an end to political campaigning. As it happens, this "surprised on the coffee run" comment is serving Jenner rather well.

Women should be demanding follow up questions about what Jenner thinks is fair for girls and women rather than celebrating crumbs.

Should also be pointed out that in their advice to people filling out the British Cycling consultation, Stonewall recommended that people object to the testosterone lowering imposed on transwomen athletes. So push is not just to include but also to include with no changes to the male physiology of these athletes.
