CJ loses nothing by this.
Republicans aren't interested in trans activism. Dems wouldn't vote for CJ in a month of Sundays.
However, I like that it's been stated out loud be someone trans - and who was made Woman of the Year etc, because an actual discussion can be had about it - and there will be lots that the Dem media want to say. At the end of the day though "California has bigger problems than pronouns" (or whatever that quote was) will ring true for a lot of people who don't follow all of this on Twitter. So the narrative may at least be challenged.
Many trans people actually agree with CJ on this but either they are not activists and just get on with their lives, or they're cancelled because they're not following the narrative set by activists.
It must be very very confusing for some demographics when they look at who to vote for. CJ is raising "trans visibility" and they salivate at being the first state to have a trans governor, yet it's CJ, someone who says things that are "problematic"! Must be doing their heads in! 😂
