Shout out to my fellow lesbians on this important week!

I will be wearing my lesbian pride badge right next to my trans pride badge for the whole week in all public spaces.

Ralph Lucas is a Conservative back bencher in The House of Lords.
May 5th 2020 he published clarification he had received from the government of the definition used for man and woman. This is based in Equality Act 2010

Many women love other women. Political lesbians can choose to love only women; but lesbianism in most normal regards is about female sexual attraction to one's own sex.

But you also said that with breast cancer screening you mentioned you were trans. So are you a transman then? Because I remember you saying you were a transwoman, which would mean someone with a male biology

This is what happens when gender identity is conflated with sex. Utter confusion. If someone was born female as well as identifies as female than there would be no need to transition.

So I (as a trans person) just had my previous post deleted for stating biological fact. Seems like trans people can't tell the truth now either.

Are we really saying that badges rather than biology determine our identity now? Have I got that right?

@hamsterV2 I agree with a previous poster - I really would be hard pushed to say what was wrong with your deleted comment. I would also like to say how nice it is to hear from someone who is trans but does not believe that you can actually change sex - you are a voice of rational thought in all this.

Trans lesbians do not exist, because trans women are biologically male. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being trans and heterosexual but the word 'lesbian' is taken - by women. As has been said previously, it's not gatekeeping, it's about definition and fact.

It's appropriation and colonisation, and it's crap like this that makes me ashamed to be part of of the trans community sometimes. You can stand WITH women but you can never BE one.

Yes, I dare say female people who exclusively are attracted to other female people are trans also.

The denial of exclusively same sex attraction is homophobia.

Good grief this thread has really demonstrated the pernicious way language and meaning has been twisted. It must be exhausting and distressing to deal with in real life.

I know an adult human female who is same sex attracted but thinks of theirself as non binary.

So I suppose they could arguably be a trans lesbian? First bit identity, second bit sexuality? They seems to fit the definitions of both...
