Knew this would happen, had to turn down job

I'm furious, have been out of work for a while. Was offered a temporary contract writing and implementating policy for a public sector organisation. Just up my street and would really have helped us out. Turns out they're Stonewall champions and are full on TWAW and have all rights to anything they want. I asked to review some of their current policies and it's all cisgender crap and lists of stuff we must and mustn't do to make all Trans people safe. We'll I've obviously had to turn down the role and worse I told the recruiter why so will probably never get a job through them now. There are companies out there that haven't bought into all this crap aren't there?

I have not embarrassed myself. I know she was agreeing about the law, but she was trying to tell me how to do my job, which doesn't work when she doesn't know the issue.

And "I'll make popcorn" is a rude dismissive comment so I have a right to bite back on it. And please feel free to "add body shaming", if it makes you feel happy.

I'm saying people who live in real turmoil don't need OPs outrage because whether or not an employee thinks TWAW is the least of their worries, whereas for you MN warriors it is the centre of everything.

Prosecco storm front is really quite offensive. A certain charity really need to review the hateful social media put out by their employees. It doesn't look good. I think I need to start making official complaints about this behaviour.
Well it's not as if women haven't been hounded out of work for tweeting facts (or chatting shit as the Twitter babies are calling it apparently).

I think my face moment was when someone reported me to the Social Media Manager of my organisation. Except, that was me. My boss and I pissed ourselves laughing. 🤣

If I was offered a job in a company I thought was misrepresenting the law and expecting me to help them do it, I’d turn them down too. I hope! Even in a tight labour market.

My granny would say “what’s for you won’t go by you”- a better job awaits.

OP hasn't actually told us what she disagrees with so there's not much else to say (apart her cheerleaders who are the very people who will make sure this division always continues, because it's laughable ). I'm sure the employees will be devastated for all of about two seconds until they find someone else who presumably isn't as privileged enough to put their ego and their important beliefs above everything else.

As others have said again, the OP explained very early on the exact issue that she had with the job. Plenty of people have read it and understood what the problem was.

Driveway single mum of 4 here.
We live hand to mouth, though its improved a lot since I was a homeless teenager.

My feminism is about female liberation.

I dont want mens approval, or support, or agreement.

I dont need it when Im on the loo, or on the internet, or at work, or when I have headphones in running. I dont need mens encouraging comments about what I should be doing to woman better.
