The Florida House passed a bill on April 14, 2021, that would ban trans girls and women from playing on high school and collegiate teams. It would also allow schools to require a genital inspection of student athletes suspected of being trans.

This is child sexual abuse. I hope this never ends up happening in the UK. Trans girls and women deserve to play in women's sports. Trans boys and men deserve to play in men's sports. Period.

Choc with chilli for me, please, and some brandy in it. Medicinal.

ASugarr · 18/04/2021 22:37

It's so clear that you're all changing the subject so that MumsNet takes this down as it doesn't reflect the original discussion. As it did with the last few when you all made comments unrelated to the original topic.

Do you mind if I just have tea?
I’m a quiet soul who likes to think away in the background.

@AssassinatedBeauty

I'd rather a mochaccino, ta.

Passing up on a hot chocolate makes a badger suspicious.

But here you are

Ooooo! I have faux naivetè on my bingo card! I've now got a line. I suspect my prize is a load of sharp sand.

Get your order in quick @ASugarr

I'm guessing you favour something bitter with a wee nip in it?

Literally no-one here wants this thread deleted. Stop misunderstanding things!
Erkrie · 18/04/2021 22:38

It's honestly so harmful not only to the transgender community but to those who have literally lost loved ones

Gosh you really take it upon yourself to speak for everyone don't you, whether they want you to or not.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 18/04/2021 22:38

OP you don't seem to understand that a discussion doesn't always stick to the strict parameters YOU wish to discuss. That isn't how grown up life works I'm afraid. Other people have opinions and can add to discussions.

You've lied on this thread repeatedly about what you've said on this thread (despite it literally being available to read on here!), misrepresented the thread on Twitter and then asked for people to lobby for an account set up to support women who have been through a painful experience to be banned.

You make out you care so much but you very obviously hadn't even read the bill when you first posted and I don't even think you have now. You definitely hadn't when you first posted as you said something specific that is quite literally not the case in the bill itself.

If you want to be part of a discussion, listen, debate, learn, grow - everyone should do that. If you want to be part of an argument (which is what you kept referring to this discussion as) then do what you're doing now. But it doesn't make you look like someone genuinely informed.

You make life harder for trans people because you shout louder than the vast, vast majority of trans people - who are fair, decent, sensible and understand the need to consider everyone affected by decision making. 'Allies' like you make life harder for my trans friends.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 18/04/2021 22:38

Dark chocolate with chilli and cream please and thank you.

I've got some shortbread I think. I'll open the tin and pass it around.

WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld · 18/04/2021 22:38

Why would you want to remove a support group OP?

transbadger · 18/04/2021 22:39

@Helleofabore

Thick and dark Italian style with a minimum of milk please transbadger.

Love it. I've made it thick enough to match the original OP.

Enjoy!

@transbadger it's half hot chocolate, and is a reflection of my caffeine addiction ☕️

No, I think the idea is to fill up the thread so it doesn't get taken down.
