Anyone fancy co-parenting with LOJ?

Owen Jones wants a baby, and would like a lesbian couple to impregnate. Any takers on mumsnet? He could be quite a catch for someone looking for a sperm donor and a co-parent to raise a well balanced child.
He got a bit of flack, so is doubling down on the the "anti-trans cult" and calling everyone homophobic.

Single women who want children but not a relationship look for gay men to father children, and lets not forget surrogacy for same six and heterosexual couples and singles

Disgusted, I see your posts quite frequently.....and it appears that even you know what a woman is at the end of the day -when truth be told. And you also know what being gay or same sex attracted means, too.

Dontbeme · 04/04/2021 14:33

@yourhairiswinterfire

''Get yourself a lesbian or two''.

Like lesbians are just fucking toys you can order on Amazon or some shit Hmm

Women ( the biological type) are not real people with their own agency, needs and desires to some people. Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme and all that.

@toffeebutterpopcorn

If you have an organ transplant you need to take drugs to avoid rejection.

As mentioned above - when pregnant you avoid drugs, alcohol, soft cheese, hair dye, cleaning chemicals... so why on earth would you create a situation where you need to take drugs to stop your body just ‘doing it’s thing’ and rejecting an organ it naturally doesn’t want/sees as ‘alien’ (would it also reject the foetus, so more drugs needed?).

‘Because I want to’ and ‘because it’s possible’ are not good enough reason as to play god.

Humanity doesn’t need the capability for more humans to be able to carry a baby. Science needs to figure to how feed and look after the ones we already have.

It's already been done with women who don't happen to be trans, and a healthy baby was born despite any anti-rejection drugs:

Because they were biologically female and female bodies don't (normally) reject foetuses, even though the foetus is 50% foreign DNA. It's one of the remarkable things about the female body.

Can you say the same thing would happen with a biological male body?

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 04/04/2021 14:47

It's already been done with women who don't happen to be trans,

Women who dont happen to be trans'

so that would be.... Males?

Just 'women' would do.
AssassinatedBeauty · 04/04/2021 14:48

"Don't happen to be trans...." that's not an administrative accident. It is a totally different proposition to insert a uterus into a male body than it is to transplant one from one woman to another.

MissBarbary · 04/04/2021 14:48

@EdgeOfACoin

It doesn't have to be a lesbian woman either does it? Single women who want 9 but not a relationship look for gay men to father children, and lets not forget surrogacy for same six and heterosexual couples and singles.

"Woman"? Do you mean "menstruators" or "uterus havers"?

Or at the very least "cis woman" DisgustedOfManchester.

Don't you see the hypocrisy?

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 04/04/2021 14:49

Oh yes, sorry, I was getting my males and females mixed up, I was so Hmm at 'women who don't happen to be trans'!

Justhadathought · 04/04/2021 14:49

Women who don't happen to be trans' so that would be.... Males

i think that they might actually mean women/females. Confusing isn't it.

LacyEdge · 04/04/2021 14:49

A family member and her wife did this with a gay friend. It may or may not stun you to learn that the lesbian couple do the lion’s share of absolutely everything, a few years down the line.

Most arrangements of this nature are set up with long term friends. Does the dad-to-be not have any suitable uterus-possessing friends to ask?

Hopefully womb transplants for trans women will be a thing soon

Not content with experimenting on kids, TRAs want to experiment on the unborn

ArabellaScott · 04/04/2021 14:57

the logic made surrogacy look like something out of Gilead when applied. yes, indeed. Funny, that.

GreyhoundG1rl · 04/04/2021 14:58

Sweet Jesus Confused
Biological women (who by virtue of this, have the entire internal plumbing already in place). Not biological males.
If you can't see any difference there you're really not fit to do the sort of arguing on these threads that seems to entertain you so much.
Which probably explains why nobody bothers to listen to you, and makes me doubt your motives.

Floisme · 04/04/2021 15:05

Shizuku did you really just try and use an article about a woman receiving a womb transplant as evidence that it will soon be possible to implant an entire reproductive system in a transwoman?

Gurufloof · 04/04/2021 15:10

Hopefully womb transplants for trans women will be a thing soon, cos it'll be so much fun watching bigots imploding when a trans woman offers to be a surrogate for a gay couple

Never mind the actual baby though eh?

So its probably already been said but some of the issues that arise if a womb transplant could in fact happen,
Shit loads of drugs to prevent the body rejecting it which would pass to the baby.
The womb itself having to be removed after a pregnancy whether successful or not.
A caesarian section every single time because of course.
No way yet of faking a placenta, you know the bit that's actually needed probably more than the womb.
Humans have only just started looking at issues arising from adoption and surrogacy in the child, by the time this might happen I suspect even surrogacy will be verboten.
Some actual wombs to transplant, theres a huge waiting list for the usual transplants why would this be sent through when life saving transplants aren't done for lack of donors among other reasons.
If it came to pass then it would need to be younger women who gave up a womb, will they need to have had children already to prove theirs works and to ensure they have a child? Will it only be unused wombs? Oh the questions.

If anyone is considering co-parenting with Owen Jones, I beg you to consider this set of tweets from yesterday.

Jedward! All because they abused Rosie Duffield the other night, suddenly their opinion on the Labour party is presumed to be of value.

Floisme · 04/04/2021 15:29

I am reminded of the time I read about the world's first test tube baby and thought she had literally been grown in a test tube.

I don't think they're even British?
PotholeHellhole · 04/04/2021 16:02

Nope, Tinsel. They're so not British that they've represented Ireland twice at Eurovision. Grin

ArabellaScott · 04/04/2021 16:05

Jedward?

If they're busy, maybe The Cheeky Girls could discuss Corbyn's comeback tour?
