He got a bit of flack, so is doubling down on the the "anti-trans cult" and calling everyone homophobic.

I think the reason he’s excluding gay transmen is that also by his own philosophy, he has no excuse not to view transmen as potential partners.

This isn’t about judging coparenting families or gay men as fathers whatsoever either. It’s about the hypocrisy of each man who pretends biological sex is irrelevant. The whole 'so are you saying that infertile women are not women then' thing is such a ridiculous strawman argument. And it's really offensive to appropriate the uniquely female experiences of women who are infertile, for whatever reason (there are many), and equate them with having a male reproductive system.

But then, it seems like 'offensiveness' only goes one way as well. I mean, like a tweet saying 'only women have cervixes' and you need to be sacked, cancelled, sent of for re-education because its so offensive to trans people. Call an adult human with a penis and testicles 'he' and OMG how could you be so awful, you need to start listening and learning and check your 'cis' priviledge.

But when someone like OJ says something that women find offensive then of course women are not allowed to voice that. OJ is never going to say 'sorry, I made a joke that was offensive' he is not going to 'listen and learn'. He just shouts 'homophobic, transphobic, bigot lalalalalala!'

Because he is a man and we know that it's men who get to decide what a woman is, and what women are and aren't allowed to find offensive.

I'm pretty sure I'd have reacted to 'hunting for broody lesbian couples' regardless of which entitled misogynist had said it. My objection to it had nothing to do with trans rights, and the homophobia in this case is his - gay men coparenting who are respectful of women are fine.

OJ aside, I am not sure why any woman would actively choose to coparent with someone they are not in a relationship in. Why add that extra layer of stress/ admin/ potential for conflict/ disagreement? What if the co parent becomes an arse and argues with you that over every tiny thing? Why out your self through that when it is not necessary. Especially a lesbian couple where you have two parents.
You can pay for babysitting if “an extra pair of hands” appeals, you’ve got grandparents and maybe uncles, aunts and cousins already. You can get sperm on the internet. What would the male co parent bring to the table?
