Owen Jones wants a baby, and would like a lesbian couple to impregnate. Any takers on mumsnet? He could be quite a catch for someone looking for a sperm donor and a co-parent to raise a well balanced child.
He got a bit of flack, so is doubling down on the the "anti-trans cult" and calling everyone homophobic.

SpaceBat I’ve seen that series. It is fascinating and I agree there are similarities with belonging or not, which is why some describe the trans movement as a “type of religion”. I’ve also seen the movie “Going Clear: Scientology and the prison of belief”.

I've seen that one too. There's a lot of investigative journalism on them out there, no wonder their members are discouraged from looking at the internet. I had a near miss with them, so am a little fascinated.

One of the reasons that I really dislike Owen Jones is that whenever he talks about engagements on twitter, he only ever addresses the most moronic of his critics and then paints everyone with the same brush. I am sure he has had some homophobic comments but he has also had some a lot of Lesbians making valid points too.

And why would they necessarily want to hand the baby over to a gay (I assume male) couple? Are women - by any definition - merely breeding stock for men?

It's bullshit anyway.

Pretty much all surrogates are women who have previously had successful, low risk pregnancies. If you are looking for a surrogate, you are going to be looking for a woman who has a higher chance of carrying a baby to term.

Women who have had womb transplants successfully have had the womb removed along with the baby, it's a one shot thing I think. If you are a transwoman who is going to go through that process to get pregnant, then it's unlikely you are going to use your one shot to be a surrogate for someone else. And if you are someone looking for a surrogate, and have the pick of lots of biological females who have already had healthy pregnancies, then it's highly unlikely you are going to pick the male with a womb transplant where the risk of failure is huge, isn't it?

And all of that is not even accounting for the fact that womb transplants in males is currently in the realms of science fiction anyway, so I dont even know why I bothered typing all that out anyway!

Why would anyone implode at that?

Concern for the baby being exposed to all those medicines and artificial hormones during its development in order to satisfy an ideology?
