English teacher tells class that JKR is transphobic

I'm absolutely fuming.
30 kids now "hate" JKR apparently.
This is an abuse of influence surely, not to mention a worrying lack of critical thinking.
I've printed out the "transphobic" tweets so my Y7 child can make up their own mind. With a lot of ranting from me in the background .

That doesn't seem to hold true for women though, does it? Why do transwomen get to decide what it means to be a trans person AND what it means to be a woman? That's clearly not fair. @radicalhag put it better than me on Twitter:

This rule fairly applied should mean that women decide what's misogynistic. Somehow I never see this applied with the same enthusiasm.

Oh I've seen it said forcefully on here that only women get to decide what is sexist.

It's a bit of an aside but it's nonsense for all the protected characteristics. It completely ignores the possibility of at best being petty and looking for something to be offended by and at worse malicious accusations, in all cases leaving the person being accused with no defence.

I think that when someone says something is insulting you have a duty to listen ( even if it's a woman saying something is misogyny) ,

but it does not mean thing was insulting

And I think people have a duty to assume the best of people in the first case , be slow to take offence ( although women tend to overdo that if the AIBU board is anythjbg to go by)

If someone says they are the same as you, they are telling you what you are. And their use of the supposed right of 'always respect self-id' can only be granted by exactly overriding your right to it. So such a right is contradictory, and unworkable.

Yes, isn't this just the crux of the matter? If I said I knew what it was to be black or disabled or Jewish....or basically anything I am not, I would be judged. Yet, I am supposed to nod compliantly at someone born male saying they know what it means to be born female? It is so frustrating. Why don't the normal rules apply?

I would be judged.

A woman would never be permitted to take a transwoman's place.

Only men can be transwomen.
Women can't be transwomen.
Now women can't even be women.
We have to be cis-women.

The privileged arrogant Toad commits driving offences then dresses up as woman so not only transphobic but transpeciesphobic to escape from prison. If that's not a dog-whistle, I don't know what is.
