Thanks OP. the research quoted in the APPG position paper, do you know anything about that? Research by Cambridge University and Stonewall (2017)

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 07/03/2021 13:07

Thanks for this OP. This is fantastic! Sunlight, sunlight, sunlight.

FindTheTruth · 07/03/2021 13:10

The APPG’s Officers are Crispin Blunt MP, Baroness Barker, Lord Cashman, Peter Kyle MP, Stewart McDonald MP and Lord Collins

I don't understand why the APPG was only made up of queer theory stonewall view of the world. or why these people push queer theory instead of grass roots LBGT. or why they bully ordinary LGB and T.

“It was my judgement that if this paper could be communicated to the Government privately, and as representing a wide collective agreement, they would be more likely to adopt it as theirs”

he's not very bright is he?

Shedbuilder · 07/03/2021 13:13

@Signalbox

but said GIDS should be exempt from litigation

This is rather telling. It's finally dawned on them that there will be a tidal wave of litigation at some point.

Yup: it acknowledges that they know there is damage being done and disaster looming, but they're still pushing for it. It's deeply cynical — surely almost criminal? This really gives them away.

Thanks for the heads-up on Blunt's background. I'd love to hear Mrs Blunt's side of the story.

This might be the moment to publicise Conservatives for Women:

conservativesforwomen.org

As a lifelong Labour supporter that's something I never thought I'd do. In fact after reading their manifesto my partner and I (lesbian couple) are having a serious discussion about whether we can vote Conservative in May. We won't vote for Labour or the Lib Dems or the Greens. Do we spoil our ballots or do we actually try to make sure the Conservatives get in so as to prevent Labour et al having power?

ANewCreation · 07/03/2021 13:20

Kaleidoscope Trust, you say?

Wondered where I had heard it mentioned very recently and just remembered it was on the MoJ thread in the context of John Bercow disallowing an urgent question on Karen White and trans prisoners which always struck me as odd.

John Bercow was the president of Kaleidoscope Trust.

The dots are beginning to join up...

No sorry. I just posted it here after seeing it on twitter. I have no affiliation to the Sex Matters org. Maya Forstater might know, she pops on here from time to time.

Fuck. So the speaker of the house of commons enforced #nodebate How dare he. No right. No right to do this in a democracy. That was in 2018 and women have been assaulted.

John Bercow: 'sex pest', ridicules GC Women, friend of Pink News & Edward Lord who refused UQ about prison policy following Karen White Case. Unconnected?

OvaHere · 07/03/2021 13:44

Bercow is a hypocrite of the highest order considering all the noise he made about democratic processes re Brexit.

He is a very unpleasant man but yes, I think that's the main problem with him. The way he waded in saying 'I've been reading about this since summer' (presumably thinking that he was way ahead of us 'strident women') was cringeworthy to say the least.
rabbitwoman · 07/03/2021 14:04

You know what though? All this secrecy and planning and finance and they did not get self ID passed.

That's the mumsnet handbook, that is!

Blunt's wife and children were apparently as surprised as the rest of the world when he announced he was gay.

❤️rabbit, roz, FWRs.

strident women and mumsnet handbook = more than a match for these fuckers

CuriousaboutSamphire · 07/03/2021 14:11

Oh those names! Makes some more sense if her behaviour on the Maternity bill!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/03/2021 14:16

Does anyone know what The Baring Foundation's interest is in this? Just corporate philanthropy or something more?

Used her. Maybe she's on here.

But while Blunt's confession has torn his family apart, politically, one insider described it as 'the best move he's made since he became an MP'

what I don't understand is, how does a man come out as gay at age 50 and decide to go all in for queer theory gender ideology. I don't get it. he realises he's same-sex attracted at 50 and then pushes Stonewall version (that's homophobic) campaigning to remove sexual orientation from the equality act and remove sex based exemptions. What is it with these men?

MichelleofzeResistance · 07/03/2021 14:25

“It was my judgement that if this paper could be communicated to the Government privately, and as representing a wide collective agreement, they would be more likely to adopt it as theirs”. Publishing the document and making it open to public debate while the government was still considering its response “would have undermined our political strategy”.

Translation: they might have been encouraged to think about alternative perspectives and interpretations, to recognise that other groups exist with alternate views, and to balance the needs of other people equally, which would have undermined Crispin's personal agenda.

That is a good point - these older gay men like CB and Michael Cashman are going all out to erase their own existence in law and remove their own hard-won rights and protections - eh??

Or are they relying on the fact that any potential partner they have will also have signed up to the ideology and will have a declared 'gender identity' which corresponds to their sex and the relationship will therefore be protected under the Stonewall definition of gay being same-gender attracted??

Sometimes I think it would be quite good to do a big pictorial depiction of all the connections to show just what a spiderweb it is with a few key players. You could do separate pictorials for the various strands in the issue and then overlay a summary on top.

I think it would be very enlightening.

Shedbuilder · 07/03/2021 14:41

According to that Daily Mail Crispin Blunt, before he came out as gay, is on record as saying in a debate in the HoC:

homosexuality is 'not equivalent to heterosexuality'.

Mr Blunt, 50, said: 'It is also clear that there is a much greater strand of homosexuality than of heterosexuality which depends for its gratification on the exploitation of youth.'

Hmmmm.

Xanthangum · 07/03/2021 14:50

I feel very sorry for Victoria, if this bit from the DM article is accurate:

Friends say Victoria Blunt - a former banker, and the daughter of a wealthy American - felt betrayed because she had sacrificed her career and used her fortune to support her husband's political life.

I just don't get older gay men like CB and MC (and some lesbian women - Ruth Hunt, Baroness Barker) throwing young gay and lesbian youth under a bus. These kids put on puberty blockers and hormones can have permanent sexual dysfunction, some never having an orgasm or getting painful orgasms. wonder if these older people think about that when they have sex?
