Women are now 'non', no longer a word to describe us

Shocking journalism from The Guardian.

Is it important to teach the next generation of female children that they must always sacrifice themselves and their interests to serve the needs of male children?

Explain to me, please, why this is not fundamentally appalling?

SusannaSpider · 24/01/2021 12:41

MichelleofzeResistance

Yes, to all that. But out of all my female friends, there are only 2 women who I could discuss this with. One is the mum of an athlete, the other is a someone who plays league amateur sport (as do I). I play a mixed sport, and when you play with a male partner, the differences are clear, I think most women are under the impression that men and women are equal at most sports and would take offence at the suggestion that men are better. I think they would consider themselves feminists for believing that they are equal.
The one time I mentioned the changing room situation, I was shut down by one of the women who is a lesbian, saying that means you are uncomfortable sharing a changing room with me?! Erm, no because you are a woman.

EdgeOfACoin · 24/01/2021 12:49

So. Those pictures have been deleted.

I questioned the authenticity of those photos and was given fairly convincing evidence to show that they are real. Nobody has come back with any kind of counterclaim to show that the pictures were doctored in any way.

Yet they have been deleted anyway.

I am quite angry about this, but at the same time I think it speaks volumes.

Someone is monitoring this thread and someone doesn't want these pictures being seen.

Why not? Scared that people will see the truth for themselves?

Until someone makes a better argument to the contrary, that is the only conclusion I can draw.

oldwomanwhoruns · 24/01/2021 13:05

Yes indeed, @MichelleofzeResistance. I've recently stopped working in the Civil Service (UK), which (you may not know) waves the rainbow flag so hard that their b**y arms hurt.

I was put in the situation of having to get changed (for running) in a tiny 'ladies' changing/shower room, so undressing right down to my knickers (as we women have to wear sports bras, of course), in front of an individual who was clearly male.
I'm not just being sensitive, I've been sexually assaulted in the past.

If I'd complained I'd have lost my job, of course.

I am still so angry about this.

It's not just a theoretical issue. It's here, now.

SameO1d · 24/01/2021 13:09

Why have photos freely available in the public domain been deleted on this thread?

Why are photos of triumphant transwomen (MtoF) standing head-and-shoulders in height above the natal women they have beaten in female sport not allowed to be posted?

Why are photos that so starkly demonstrate the height, weight, muscle mass, strength and stamina advantages conferred by the body of a natal male born human that now identifies as a woman not permitted to be viewed?

Who doesn’t want us to see these photos, that so clearly and unambiguously highlight the biological advantages natal male bodies have over natal female bodies?

Who, indeed?

🦉

Justhadathought · 24/01/2021 13:21

It's just breathtaking that people go along with this and don't think there's anything wrong with it. Only people who literally don't care about girls could possibly think this is OK

I think it more a case of trying to be doctrinally consistent. Once you start to question or critique any aspect of this ideology in practice, then everything starts to unravel - and that must be guarded against at all costs.

It must create intense cognitive dissonance.

CranberriesChoccyAgain · 24/01/2021 14:04

Does Mouncey have gender disphoria? TW who suffer from gender disphoria, would it not increase their anxiety to change amongst biological women? I wouldn't have thought it would be affirming in any way.

CranberriesChoccyAgain · 24/01/2021 14:07

@NotBadConsidering

Sorry, 6 athletes. And I’m ashamed to say I don’t know the names of all these women and girls, only those who were more prominent in their loss like Soule and Stowers. But somewhere there is a woman who finished 26th instead of 25th and that will matter to her, and even though I don’t know her name, it matters to me as well.
Also, the 3 medalists in the women's 800m in Rio were all XY.

MichelleofzeResistance · 24/01/2021 14:17

This is the fundamental issue when trying to engage with an ideology that believes not talking about things, or not acknowledging things, makes them go away.

Clymene · 24/01/2021 14:25

I bloody hope my deleted post which had photographs from a highly sympathetic interview with Terry Miller hasn't got me a strike.

What rule did posting them break? Confused

If anyone would be interested in reading the interview with Miller (obviously the photos should be banned or have a trigger warning or something Hmm ), it's here:

SqueakyCarrots · 24/01/2021 14:42

I’m really shitty at sports. It’s central to my well-being that I run against people who walk. It’s central to my well being I said. MY WELL BEING. ME ME ME.

No?!?!!!!

God what bigots you are all for not doing as I tell you. Your erasing my literal life with your literal violence.

SqueakyCarrots · 24/01/2021 14:54

There are certain sports men and women can compete. Eventing is one. Entirely reasonable for men and women to complete against each other in eventing. They almost always exclusively ride mares though.

Oh wait no, I remember now, chop off the horses bollocks and cut off his natural testosterone supply at year or so makes him a gelding not a mare. Silly me.

persistentwoman · 24/01/2021 14:59

Clymene
Ask MNHQ to review it. Some time ago I got a strike when some saddo reported me for commenting that Lisa Nandy argued for male born rapists being placed in prison with women. When I sent them the link to where she said this, they apologised and reinstated the post.
They're under intense pressure taking reports from all sorts but are more than prepared to acknowledge errors in my experience.

Floisme · 24/01/2021 15:08

I'm sorry it got deleted. But there is nothing any monitor can do to make me un-see that photo, and the fact that some people clearly didn't want me to see it just makes the memory all the more vivid.

EdgeOfACoin · 24/01/2021 15:18

Yes, PersistentWoman, I think everyone who had a post deleted on this thread should ask MNHQ to review the deletion.

QueenoftheAir · 24/01/2021 15:20

Also, the 3 medalists in the women's 800m in Rio were all XY.

It's so fucking blatant.

Lordamighty · 24/01/2021 15:23

I’m not objecting to my deletion & in fact I clarified my own post later in the thread. The picture The Guardian used of the trans athlete winning a race had been obviously photoshopped in the groin area but I was incorrect to say that The Guardian did it as I have no way of knowing that.

ChattyLion · 24/01/2021 15:29

‘Non-transgender girls’ is offensive and ridiculous- they are girls. Still GIRLS. Stop putting the gender identity filter on everyone, Guardian.

And ‘transgender females’ (.. when used to mean trans-identifying male-born people..) is appalling. The dogma is appropriating the biological sex term ‘female’ .... when they’ve already appropriated ‘woman’ and ‘girl’... and here the Guardian is doing all this dick pandering, which as well as erasing women and girls, makes trans people invisible too.

Because actual ‘transgender females’ are transmen. Remember them, Guardian? Apparently not. They don’t even figure in the new language orthodoxy. It just shows how mens rights and wishes and male supremacy is the real agenda here. I can’t believe anyone thinks this is progress.

RadandMad · 24/01/2021 16:04

@NotBadConsidering You make excellent points I hadn't considered. Thank you.

StealthPolarBear · 24/01/2021 16:11

Ah who gives a shit about those non transgender girls? They just need to figure out that their lives are all about deferring to the real people.

ANewCreation · 24/01/2021 16:12

Just to clarify

So, if I as an adult human female am (according to the logic of the article) a 'non-transgender woman', does that then mean that 'trans women are non-transgender women'?
TWANTW??
Or maybe I am now a non-male?

Confused...

allmywhat · 24/01/2021 16:13

The plaintiffs argued transgender female runners had an unfair physical advantage. But the two transgender runners at the center of that case said in court filings that being able to run against girls was central to their wellbeing.

Okay, I think anyone who actually feels sympathy for the male runners after reading that "central to their wellbeing" claim is actually broken inside. That is the least sympathetic play for sympathy I have ever seen. I can't believe the Guardian printed it straight faced - well, I can actually. Fuck the Guardian.

How can anyone bring themselves to give a crap about someone whose "wellbeing" depends on being allowed to cheat at sports at the expense of all the other competitors? If cheating is central to your wellbeing... then perish.

CranberriesChoccyAgain · 24/01/2021 16:40

Mental gymnastics should be an Olympic event.

EdgeOfACoin · 24/01/2021 16:57

If anyone is interested, here is the link to the interview Kellie-Jay did with the founder of Save Women's Sports. It's just under 17 minutes long and about a year old:

ShagMeRiggins · 24/01/2021 16:59

I’ll RTFT later. In the meantime I’m too busy being fucking furious with the erasure of this simple word: women.

Honestly. Heart is pounding.

I AM SO ANGRY!!!
