I think they're enjoying it

midgebabe · 16/12/2020 18:37

That's ok then

HecatesCatsInXmasHats · 16/12/2020 18:42

No, I don't think it is

CaraDuneRedux · 16/12/2020 18:54

As always, though, very much more revealing than perhaps the poster intends it to be. If OP of that thread was in good faith, they may well be finding the contributions... enlightening? Eye opening?

I am slightly fascinated in a morbid way, the thought process is...unusual. I just would never have the energy to argue with them though, might as well discuss with my 7 year old - or my goldfish. The former might take some arguments onboard, the latter would not talk back.

Same here. Most people reading that thread will be thinking "WTF"! I've just got a vision of David Walliams in Little Britain saying one of his catchphrases.
CaraDuneRedux · 16/12/2020 19:09

It is very, very creepy though - to take such obvious delight in outing yourself as a would-be rapist on the feminist section of a very female dominated forum. This is definitely someone who gets off on boundary violations, at the very least in the virtual world. I couldn't possibly speculate about the real world, but let's just say if certain behaviour patterns visible on here carried over, I would not be in the least surprise.

Once again "When a man tells you who he is, listen." (Pronouns there because that's how it goes in the original quote, natch...)

Yes Cara. The delight in springing the surprise onto a sex partner is disturbing.

Well observed Cara. It's the resoluteness that makes it particularly creepy for me.

SophocIestheFox · 16/12/2020 19:55

“Forced” is a very interesting word, isn’t it?

Hidden in a positive blizzard of other words. So many, many words.

WiltingAtTreadmills · 16/12/2020 22:33

Maybe this shouldn't turn into a taat tho.

I was about to catch up on that thread. Will try to remember not to get sucked in.

Especially cos I want to comment on philosophical points - so refreshing to see an acknowledgement that it is a belief but is it true and justified? If 'female gender identity' is a sufficient condition of female, and female biology is not a necessary condition, how do I establish communication with this plant to work out whether I can smoke it in four months or not?

No. I shall resist.

I was drawn into the latest AMA thread for one post but I'll leave it at that. Especially since with only a few posts so far there's already lol-ing.

Collidascope · 17/12/2020 13:53

It's been moved. Good.

Winesalot · 17/12/2020 13:56

I think at this stage it is being heavily watched and frankly, I think this poster is young (they just posted on another thread). It may be interesting to ask about ROGD and get their perspective. I think it might not last long though.

MedusasBadHairDay · 17/12/2020 13:59

I can't imagine ever doing an AMA about myself unprompted. Wouldn't even occur to me that anyone would be interested?!

nauticant · 17/12/2020 14:03

I suspect that many of the answers on that thread will be driven by making a particular point rather than what's actually true. I'll watch but it's not one to engage with.

PotholeParadies · 17/12/2020 14:04

I looked at old threads and found an argument with me, Maryz and japab which has driven me all round the bend and up the Embankment. Thence to Temple.

Every now and then I think about searching for old threads that I've been on, but then I remember how engaged and annoyed I used to get. I've got better at ignoring trolls and goady fuckers now Grin
PotholeParadies · 17/12/2020 14:12

I think I used to avoid FWR on account of one of the above. But he turned up on any thread that touched on why women might be treated shabbily all over the rest of the site, too.

Winesalot · 17/12/2020 14:44

Gone

Winesalot · 17/12/2020 14:46

I didn’t get to read more than half. It did seem like a need for validation for their recent realization though. A few months .... hmmmm.

PotholeParadies · 17/12/2020 14:49

I read up to page 2.

I felt it was best and kindest not to post.
