I think MN FWR merits a better class of knob

agree. Can get quite irritated by the piss poor standard of trolls these days.

littlbrowndog · 12/02/2021 00:14

You all seen the chit chat on weetabix and heinz beans. On Twitter

Best ever. Even GCHQ joined in

Sainsbury’s were told they had no authority and were kicked

I wish I could link it here Lang would have loved it

Bunburying and wassailing into winter - thread 7
picklemewalnuts · 12/02/2021 08:06

It's great! Xbox, pampers, Iceland's (the country) contribution was fab.

prisencolinensinainciusol2 · 12/02/2021 09:31

OwBist - thanks for that link, I loved it.

OldCrone · 12/02/2021 10:15

Another thread gone overnight. A mother asking for advice regarding something her child was being taught at school. The last post from her said that she appreciated all the advice and information and was going to read it all again in the morning. She won't be able to now.

picklemewalnuts · 12/02/2021 11:39

Infuriating.

OwBist · 12/02/2021 15:34

Ooo, I've been following the live court case on here today, and am very pleased to see that all whataboutery from potential community disruptors has been refuted in the first instance and roundly ignored subsequently. Also very grateful for the explanations by those in the know. Smile

testingmitb · 12/02/2021 15:41

It's been exhilarating on that thread. I liked the summary dismissal of the disrupters. Wise, wise women of FWR.

MichelleofzeResistance · 12/02/2021 19:32

I am so enjoying the complete disinterest in disruption. It's like a breath of fresh air. Wine

SophocIestheFox · 12/02/2021 22:23

Ah yes, chapter 12, Whataboutery. That’s the one I needed.

ArabellaScott · 12/02/2021 22:50

I'd better brush off my copy. I shall take it to bed with a large hot toddy.

QueenoftheAir · 13/02/2021 09:34

Apols for engaging! I just can't bear illogicality. And the twisted misogyny of thinking that any defence of women's legal sex-based rights is actually an attack on the T. I'm not really interested in T-people. I'm interested in women - their rights and lives.

Its hard isn't it. it would be nice to be able to mute certain posters wouldn't it?

I find it so frustrating, its like playing pigeon chess. They have absolutely no interest in the subject of the thread just want to disrupt with their self absorbed misogynistic trolling. Whenever I see certain posters on a thread I think "Ah thats it another thread ruined"

DaisiesandButtercups · 13/02/2021 10:26

Me too HermitLife, it is a shame. I tend to scroll on by most of the time. I don’t have much time and there are a couple of posters I don’t waste it on. They have shown that they have nothing to contribute and can’t or won’t answer questions put to them. Also they don’t seem to actually read what others have posted.

MichelleofzeResistance · 13/02/2021 10:29

Yes, there really are some that by bitter experience it's pointless trying to have a conversation with. They don't need any help with their kleenex.

QueenoftheAir · 13/02/2021 10:42

Grin @MichelleofzeResistance and also Shock (I lead a sheltered life nowadays ...)

Winesalot · 13/02/2021 10:48

It will be interesting to see which thread one regular who pops up from time to time will be the first they post on. Obviously there are at least two current ones they will have to avoid.... mind you, seems they will be hugely busy.

HermitsLife · 13/02/2021 10:58

I do wonder at the motivation, but then I realise I'm probably expending way too much precious energy when the answer is depressingly simple additionally Michelle is probably not far off the mark Envy

WarOnWomen · 13/02/2021 12:24

Eek Michelle. I hadn't even thought of that.

That AB thread was a masterclass in shutting down and ignoring disrupters. I ignore one of the disrupters after a thread I started was completely derailed.

I wish I could ever find the threads people refer to here; not being able to say what we mean because of ill-intentioned people as a great bore.
DialSquare · 13/02/2021 13:52

As a menopausal women currently suffering with insomnia, I find a particular poster's ramblings helpful bedtime reading.

persistentwoman · 13/02/2021 13:54

@SophocIestheFox

How apt. Today is a good day to keep Madame Bunbury's wise words at the top of this board as the flailing and desperation is off the scale.
SophocIestheFox · 13/02/2021 13:58

I imagine a sort of foghorn parping “AWOOGA AWOOGA DEFLECT DEFLECT DEFLECT AWOOGA” on some threads Grin

littlbrowndog · 13/02/2021 14:23

I know sopochles

I don’t engage with them
