I spotted the elusive midnight misogynist last night! And there was me thinking drinking fizz from 11am would be a bad thing. The resulting insomnia meant I was able to get a very promising curry recipe

They're really the most tedious type of person. I'm going back to my book.

I find it refreshing when a thread in AIBU which is about a contentious subject like "Please explain for me what JKR has done wrong?" gets to the end of its forty pages without being stomped on like something in a Monty Python opening sequence.

I guess the clue with that 'tell me about GC feminism' thread is that genderists never, ever, want to debate.

Oh well, its the holidays I guess. You can only spend so much time drinking Bailey's and eating pigs in blankets. It wouldn't be Mumsnet if we didn't get a few obviously trolling threads over Christmas would it?

I assume the Glinner thread was deleted either because it was started by a troll or because it was considered a bit off to have a whole thread discussing one person like that (though there have been others). Although I think it was started in bad faith, I liked having the opportunity to say how valuable I think Glinner's contribution has been.

I suspect the OP thought they'd get more of a divisive barney out of it and they could sit back and watch women arguing with each other. TRAs seem to enjoy that, divide and conquer and all that.

What is the point of repeatedly posting on a thread while refusing to back up your statements with evidence?

I think if i was fed up of answering questions I’d screen shot my answer so i could just keeping pop it on the thread where appropriate

"I know the answer but I'm not going to tell you because I have said it once before" is pretty silly, when new people turn up on Mumsnet all the time and may not have been there when you deigned to post it five years ago.

I peeked at the op there but saw it had gone on to several hundred posts - did the op return to explain what the factual misinformation was about? Bit weird to not put it in the op tbh. Mind you I've been waiting for several years for these posters to come back with the evidence they promise - honestly, for quite a while I was optimistic I'd eventually be proved wrong, given the number of people who confidently say they will - but I have literally never seen it.
