If they were "Ball scratchers", you wouldn't even need to qualify with "not all...." Grin

Almost like the aim of all these imposed monikers had been to cause distress to we Vulva People, rather than any special caring inclusivitive diversifical sensitivity.

Uncanny isn't it, and I was going to come here to make point about whatever they call us they know exactly what we are but then DannyGlick's comment made me spit my wine out Grin

It's interesting because when it comes to ethnicity, people are now coming to understand that saying "I don't see colour" ignores and negates the experiences of those suffering prejudice or racism as a result of their skin colour. It fails to factor in their struggles.

But essentially this is what's being asked of women. We will remove any language that defines you. Therefore ensuring you can't fight back against prejudice. It also ensures that women are spending their time fighting against the basic "privilege" to be called a "woman" instead of the many many many forms of discrimination we face.

Yes, exactly.

The police used to auction stuff like this off. But, since receiving important training, all useful parts are now redistributed to the entitled. Property is probably theft anyway so you can't complain.

I'm so glad I don't work as a midwife any more.
But seriously - if I referred to black birthing bodies I would expect disciplinary action. Maybe I'd get a shock when the manager called me in, to find I was getting a promotion? Confused

The racist reality in America of treating black women as " black birthing bodies " is unnecessary deaths.
Here is an article about a black doctor's own experience of birth.

Absolutely - and this is the kind of issue that an intersectional framework should analyse (i.e. women's often negative experience of childbirth as shaped by the misogynistic medical establishment is compounded by racism - racism and sexism combine to shape the experience differently). It is also the kind of issue that critical race theory could be used for good to understand and address.

And now we have Harvard using dehumanising language
