Can someone pro-JY/ pro-trans rights make the case to me why JY deserves 10,000 CAD for finding out that they're not eligible to enter a competition after all?

12:05 PM PST: Yaniv received a conditional discharge. Yaniv received one year probation and must report to a parole officer. The psych eval completed by Doctor Pritchard found mental health issues, gender dysphoria, etc.

Yaniv requests that the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario rule that an organization cannot refuse a service to someone just because that person has male genitalia

I'm still most worried about this if I've read it right. Yaniv doesn't want the tribunal to rule that the pageant can't refuse him, Yaniv wants them to rule that any organisation can't refuse entry to a person with male genitals. Would Yaniv use success in this to access other spaces previously denied to him?

If they had let him enter, presumably he wouldn't, and would have tried it on with the next, just as with the waxers.

Is there any support for JY from other quarters? I don’t keep up with Canadian politics and things, but am aware there is a vocal trans activist lobby there, is JY part of that, do other trans activists agree with him and support all of these legal cases?

Most beauty pageants start with local, small pageants and often have an chain up for winners to be eligible to enter the wider pageants, where the prizes are bigger and better.

At the lower levels pretty much anyone can pay their fee and enter.
