Happy to have signed it, but did everyone else get sent an email with a temporary password for their new ipetitions profile that they didn't ask for? Or is that something I could have avoided?

No, not me.

Flowers @zaramysaviour.

I've lost a few 'Twitter friends' and I only use my account professionally, so they've obviously spotted that I've very occasionally liked something heinous such as a scientific reference to biology.

An old university friend of my did her dissertation on sexual dimorphism and is woke as fuck now. I reckon I'll just have to wait a few years for her to loop back round again when the Salem madness has died down.

I did too, it automatically went into my junk folder.

I'm not sure, but I think it might be because I left the checkboxes ticked-I think one says to keep you updated on how the petition does.

Wonderful watching it tick up. I hope the momentum catches fire.

Girlyracer · 30/09/2020 00:27

Signed!

flourella · 30/09/2020 00:28

yourhairiswinterfire I unchecked that box. The email does say at the bottom that I got it simply because I signed a petition, not because I clamoured to become a member, so maybe it's standard.

DeliciouslyFemale · 30/09/2020 00:31

Signed, with love.

I know this has been posted here before, but could someone please share the best address to send JKR a card? I'm googling, but oddly enough trust the MN vipers over that...

I’ve signed but I notice a lot of people are making a donation and I’m not sure all of them read the small print and see that the money goes to ipetitions, not to anything related to JK Rowling, feminism or women’s causes.

I think most people know how petition websites work and / or can read the website.
