Signed. And I saw the historian Dan Snow tweeting his support, too.

it's now at 6227 signed, and 65% to reach goal. Strange.

The percentage now implies a 'goal' of 10k.

I doubt that's an actual goal.

At this rate that goal will be easily met. It seems to be one sig per second?

"JK Rowling can't be deplatformed, shes a billionaire and the most famous author of the 20th and 21st centuries. She can only be made miserable which is what the goal should be."

..how they interpret things the way they do is baffling.

But, talk about exageration Grin Responsing lie this..surely just makes them come across as (even more) unhinged. This seems to have been a bit of an own goal for TRAs, their reactios pushing women to look at things more. A few of my mates were very very 'TWAW, stop being meeeeean' until the JKR thing. They saw the reactions, did not read her actual words, only saw people going ridiculously over the top and assumed they were right and JKR was a huge transphobe who had literally tweeted a thousand times wishing death on transpeople. When they finally decided to read her words, they did a uturn and started wondering why the massive misrepresentation, not one thing they said she said, has she actually said. Those friends are now totally GC after a few days of research. When people have to exaggerate as much as TRAs do to get people inside, theres clearly something wrong somewhere.

Nodebate WAS indeed their best strategy..as any debate shows it up for the nonsense it is, unlucky MRAs.

Obviously its ridiculous to claim any of the list want trans people to die, but Simon Fanshawe being on there is just bloody hilarious to me given his achievements! I do wonder if Ruth Hunt ever came out with anything hat differs slightly from their accepted line, would they also claim she wanted transpeople dead?!

Indeed, Scribbling. I usually put my first name and initial, but I've put my full name this time. I feel a little ashamed it's taken me so long.

Yes, though you can sign anonymously or pseudonymously if you need to. I've sampled a few of the comments (Sir Tony R was a random spot) - I noticed one from 'Anne Whittle', on behalf of women in lancashire who don't yet feel able to sign with their real names.
Anne Whittle was one of the 'Pendle Witches'.

I’m absolutely astonished at how quick the tide is turning. It’s going to keep going until there’s a tsunami to uncover all the bullying, misinformation and downright lies. It’s a good day to be a woman, adult human female.

Also to all those ‘old school’ trans people who have done their utmost to support women too, in the face of horrible abuse from the TRAs and their supporters. We won’t forget you. 💐
