My deleted post wasn't troll hunting either.

@TheFleegleHasLanded

You can legally buy a woman for £5 in Leeds but women cannot speak about their rights....
Please tell me more - I don't disbelieve you, I want to know more
EndoplasmicReticulum · 20/09/2020 16:15

Champagne the "managed zone" in Leeds - article here in Guardian.

SunsetBeetch · 20/09/2020 16:15

@Jonoula

Do support this woman if you believe there is an underground chamber where children are raped and eaten by rich socialites.
False equivalence. As well you know.
CaraDuneRedux · 20/09/2020 16:16

@ChampagneCommunist Leeds City Council has introduced a "managed zone" for prostitution in Holbeck, which so far has seen at least one murder of a prostituted woman (Dara Pionka) so not safer as they claim, created an environment where women on their way to work and girls on their way to school are regularly harrassed and where at least one woman has been grabbed off the street and raped by punters, and where blow jobs are available for 5 quid a time.

Cause the idea of secret child trafficking in general is trés hilaire, completely out of this world, and has absolutely never ever happened.
happydappy2 · 20/09/2020 16:19

Who made the decision this was not a political protest? Posie you've once again highlighted how the law is not working for women-well done.

TheChampagneGalop · 20/09/2020 16:20

Leeds should just rename itself to Misogyny City at this point.

osprey24 · 20/09/2020 16:22

Or it could just call it Gilead.

Stripesgalore · 20/09/2020 16:22

I wonder why the woman got up off the floor. She should have made it as difficult for them to move her as possible. I wonder if they said something to her.

CaraDuneRedux · 20/09/2020 16:22

I would advise ignoring the attempt to muddy the waters by people trying to make completely spurious links to Q-ANON and the nutty SaveOurChildren people. (Not troll hunting - that poster may think there's a link, I am merely drawing attention to the fact that there is not).

This thread is about a political gathering being broken up by police using the claim that it is not a political gathering, while simultaneously refusing to give any definition of what counts as a political gathering.

Even if you hate Posie Parker and everything she stands for, this is something you should be concerned about. Because it's her right to organise a political protest today that's under threat - but tomorrow, it might be yours.

No idea. They're saying on Twatter that the police said they'd spoken to the organisers who confirmed this wasn't a political protests Confused And didn't believe Kellie-Jay when she told them she was the organiser.

Wonder who they spoke to... 🤔

oldmapie · 20/09/2020 16:25

@SmudgeButt

Def a problem with spelling - my search came up with the lead of a Canadian rock band.

And it's "spelled" not "spelt". spelt is a grain. ; )

It's spelt is fine for past tense if you are using British English. Americans tend to go with spelled.
Stripesgalore · 20/09/2020 16:25

Protesting against the GRA (which is what the woman in the video says she is doing) has nothing whatsoever to do with QAnon. But even QAnon should be allowed to protest.

@SorryImKnew

The smallest protest I've ever seen and she happily says that all women (plural) care about her and her campaign?

Can she not see that there is literally no support for her apart from a handful (14 I think?). In a whole city? What is the population of Leeds?

Dear oh dear. I'd be embarrassed to be there.

It’s purposely below 30 people, which is acceptable for a political protest, which is what this is. Shame you don’t believe in maintaining the rights of girls and women anymore though.
littlbrowndog · 20/09/2020 16:51

Why were they arrested.

Kelly-Jay currently being arrested in Leeds
BlackeyedSusan · 20/09/2020 16:51

the man in grey who wore his mask under his nose and got within two metres of the thought criminal? the one with intimidating behaviour? him? hes a counsellor. (presuming he is a he, he looks like a he but one does not know these days)

hes in politics. so political gathering?

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 20/09/2020 16:53

Posie is a fucking warrior woman. I haven't been nicked in years but I wish I'd been able to get to Leeds today as if ever there was a reason for getting arrested it's this.

What can we do? With regards to the difference in treatment of women and other political protests. Who can we complain to? Should I be messaging Leeds police? Or do we go higher? Does anyone no what the correct protocol is?

Someone upthread (who seemed to have been at the demo) said he was plain clothes police, but if he's a councillor, even more worrying (and even more clearly political).

@HazzaTheOwl - have you seen this thread? Should be right up Fair Cop's street, I would have thought.
