Ooooh! Judicial Review!

Winesalot · 06/09/2020 10:18

Brought by that truly brave girl. Now that is brave and stunning.

And aimed at the CPS for allowing the misinterpretation to steer policy.

PearPickingPorky · 06/09/2020 10:19

Excellent. More clarity forthcoming.

Winesalot · 06/09/2020 10:20

This could be the Jenga move.

BrollyKnickers · 06/09/2020 10:20

How long do judicial reviews take to complete? Before Xmas? Anyone?

Whatwouldscullydo · 06/09/2020 10:22

Best get a shovel..

I dont know if the girl is reading this but you have alot of support.

Right behind you!!

Spero · 06/09/2020 10:23

@Langsdestiny

Yes I have put reputation and money on the line too, it's why I dont like it. Telling me not to read something sounds a bit like no debate to me. I could easily say if you dont like my comment dont read it but what would be the point.
Nope. It's suggesting that if you don't like the way someone is doing something, do your own thing, don't moan at them. I do not see why this has to be so grimly joyless. You don't have to support it, but please stop putting down the people who have put their emotional health and a considerable amount of money on the line. We don't have time to waste on this. Support or dont. I am suggesting you put your energies elsewhere but if this is what you want to do, go for it.
Redshoeblueshoe · 06/09/2020 10:23

That is absolutely worth waiting for Star

Next year at the earliest I would think
MindTheMinotaur · 06/09/2020 10:34

A gardening of feminists...

I've got my shovel.

teawamutu · 06/09/2020 10:35

I've dug. Bring it on.

2fallsagain · 06/09/2020 10:36

Glad the news has been shared here. Apologies for the slight delay past 10am. Slight technical problems at SSAUK towers!

This is huge news. If you look at the long, long list of government departments and public bodies who are part of the Stonewall Champions Programme we can see how this could possibly play out. If Miss A wins, then all of these public bodies will have to also withdraw from the programme. This is a hugely significant case which has taken a long time to build. We would love it if a national a paper picked it up. We have had no interest despite so far so please get sharing.

Pertella · 06/09/2020 10:38

Digging!

heathspeedwell · 06/09/2020 10:41

This is brilliant news, looking forward to a spot of digging this morning!

ArabellaScott · 06/09/2020 10:41

Dug. Thanks, all.

AlsoNotAGirl · 06/09/2020 10:45

What search terms on the crowdjustice site bring up this case?

Datun · 06/09/2020 10:45

Excellent. Thank goodness the tanker is getting turned round.

Stonewall wanted to remove the single sex exemptions from the equality act. Which would make it completely illegal under the actual for woman and girls to have access to a space or place, away from a man.

Furthermore, they have instructed institutions across the country in their interpretation of the equality act, which is inaccurate.

And the CPS, the bloody CPS, appear to endorse it all. They've already had to remove some of the schools guidance.

What the bloody hell are they thinking? They must know the actual law.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 06/09/2020 10:47

I'm so sorry to be thick but can someone explain why this is brilliant news?

Winesalot · 06/09/2020 10:48

Thank you Miss A!!!

If you look at the long, long list of government departments and public bodies who are part of the Stonewall Champions Programme we can see how this could possibly play out.

this is so important. Either way, the government will now have to be very careful about allowing lobby groups so much power in policy making.

ArabellaScott · 06/09/2020 10:48

Try Safe Schools Alliance, Also?

ArabellaScott · 06/09/2020 10:49

It's good news because the regulatory capture from gender ideologists has to be reversed. It's pulling out the rot at the root, really. I think the best way to protect the rights of women and children.

Winesalot · 06/09/2020 10:52

Because it shine the light on the fact the crown prosecutors service has allowed a huge interest group to advise them on policy and enacting law. An interest group that has misinterpreted the equality act to their own advantage. And the government has implemented that not their own legislation and the actual intent that it was created to do (as can be read on Hansard).
UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 06/09/2020 10:52

Again just to check, the judicial review needs to work first? What are the odds? How long will it take? And do they still need to raise money through a crowd funder?

Winesalot · 06/09/2020 10:56

the judicial review needs to work first

Yes. But even if something wildly unforeseen means it doesn’t, the government will need to pull away from ever allowing interest groups so much powerful. This has been a scandal in itself!!!
